i'm goin' as always.....any takers?? The final race of the 2009 Mid-America Speedway season will be held this Sunday, November, 1st. Practice will start at 12:00, and racing will start at 2:00pm. The weather this season has forced us to cancel nearly half of our races this year, so don’t miss out on this chance to ride one last time before the season is over. The economy has made this a difficult season for all of our riders, sponsors, and spectators. We have not been immune from the issues that everybody is facing as witnessed by decreased rider and spectator counts this year. Please show your support and try to attend this final event of 2009. While you are at it, try to bring a new face to the races, and introduce them to the exciting sport of flat track racing. We have already had several folks ask about our 2010 schedule. We hope to have the schedule out by mid-December. As in years past, we are going to work with the other Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois tracks, and the AMA Pro Flat track schedule. We do know that we will have our fair race on Saturday, July 24th, and the 2010 Midwest Speedway Championships and Quad Invitational on Friday, August 27th. There will not be any more practice sessions in 2009. Practice will resume in May of 2009. Once the weather breaks and the track is ready we will post practice dates at www.midamspeedway.com See you at the races! The staff of Mid-America Motorcycle Speedway |

I had just got back from vacation and had not checked the weather. rain and snow today and then a cold front, and I don't have studded tires. I ride in the 20s with my FJR but it has allot better wind protection. The FJR lost its cam chain tensioner and is being rebuilt. Maybe next year. Drew |

Anyone ever bought something off copart? I was looking at this. If I could pick it up for $50 plus gas, hell, I could part it out if I couldn't fix it. http://www.copart.com/c2/homeSearch.html?_eventId= getLot&execution=e2s1&lotId=19793539&returnPage=SE ARCH_RESULTS Any thoughts? |

This will be the first year that I am in the Indy area for Memorial day weekend. I am trying to plan a 3-day ride around that time, and am wondering what roads/camping are like during that weekend. Is it crazy? Are all the campsites full-up? I am thinking of riding around the hoosier national forest. Any insights wo-uld be appreciated. Thanks! |

McCormick's Creek State Park is excellent that time of year. It is located on SR 46 in Spencer Indiana. Plus it's a nice ride up 46 from there to the HD/Buell Dealer in Bloomington that is top notch. There are quite a few great rides that you could take from there that have some awesome twisties. |

Yeah, I've been scouring some forums (SV Riders, FZ1, this one) and gathering the names of good roads. I was thinking of staying in some of the free horse-camp areas in the national forest, like Shirly Creek or Young's Creek horse camps. It should be a good time, providing all the spots aren't taken up with 500-goers. |

I do not, but I can probably grab the demo version and export them to google earth or something like that. Go ahead and send them to me. Thanks a ton! jmdavis984 @ gmail.com (Message edited by jandj_davis on January 22, 2010) |

Anybody else planning on hitting the Indy Motorcycle Expo? I'll be there on Saturday with my son. We'll probably do the reptile show too, assuming he doesn't get too tired. 3-year olds have a rather short "show" attention span. |
