Joe ride what YOU want!I want to ride a Buell,so thats what I ride.Ive said it before,I love the way my Buell feels, handles, sounds. The only thing that I can think a JAP bike would offer is more top end.Going over 140 on street roads ,IMHO,doesnt happen to often, and I guess I dont really feel the urge to have to go too much faster than that.I will leave that to the guys in their 20's,young,dumb,and full of HHHMMMM!I wish to thank all the healthy, strong, young, riders who feel the need to go really fast,on street roads all the time,as there is currently a shortage of ORGAN DONORS,that I am quite sure they will help fill the needs of. |

Hey Richie! I'm not in my 20s! LOL!!! I wouldn't buy a jap bike right now, but I do want to see how the new bikes ride, handle and feel. Its always fun to see whats out there! Kinda like checking out all the new demo rigs! You scare me how you speak so affectionate about your buell! Hehehe! (With A Lisp!) But you do look damn sexy when you ride! My time to go to events is slim from now till my wedding date, I have alot of things to get done between now and then. I would love to go but I have to get her house ready to rent and this house ready for her and the kids to move into. Besides other things to get done before the wedding in just a little over a month. I hope you guys have a great time. |

WOW Scott, I didn't realize that planning a wedding was so difficult!! "> I thought it just included alot of; "yes dear" "whatever you think dear" "I know you will make the right decision" and the most important one, "here's the checkbook dear" Then again, what do I know, I still have 11 months to go!!! The only thing I do know for sure is that I am required to be in a tux and book a limo for the night, as she informed me that we will not be leaving the church on my X1 "> Rally update: Ben and I did another 5 hours of painstaking research for the Saturday ride. We scratched the BBQ in favor of a different restaurant. The lighthouse inn. It is a Marina/bar and grill just across the river from Louisiana, MO. real good menu. real good food. much better atmosphere (view of the river). nice large portions (I don't think anyone will leave hungry) With about a week to go till the rally, I'll post an adjenda. It will include all the events, a saturday route map, and a menu from the restaurant. Anybody else interested please let me know. Keith p.s. Sam, Frank, when are you guys going to try to get away that weekend? Fri afternoon? fri evening? etc... Ben is coming down that fri morning. Richie mentioned leaving KC durign the afternoon. just wondering what your intents were so I can kind of schedule around it. thanks. (Message edited by gravedigger on May 19, 2003, %time) |

It would be cool to hang with guys up there, but I'm heading to Fort Collins, Co to pick up a bike that I bought(Sold the chopper, and found something else I thought I can't live without). Don't bash me too hard...it's a Ducati MH900e. Have fun up there and drink some free beer for me. |

Hey Todd, I hope you are tall as you're going to need every inch to climb aboard that MH...Congradulations!...At our first Deal's Gap rally there was a Duc rally going on the same weekend in Suches GA at Two Wheels Only and there were (I forget) three or four MH's lined up in a row...Later we saw one of them thrown down the road and it made you want to cry...Boy are they gorgeous...Hmmm, chopper to Duc...Sounds like a fair trade to me... See Ya! Bob |

Keith, Don't forget to mention that the service is really good at the Lighthouse (even though it looked like our waitress had already been set straight). Plus the roads just keep getting better. Ben |

Ben, I was silently hoping that she had been in a car accident and not the other. think the roads we ran are much better than what we ran a couple weeks before. figured 204 miles of curvies so far. I think the route is really coming together nicely. Being the hard worker I am, I plan on putting in quite a few more painstaking hours researching and trying to find every curvy piece of pavement in that area before the rally. Keith |

Well MOB,Keef and I rode down to Oklahoma City last weekend. He rode down Friday,in rain all the way,I rode down Saturday morning in fog and cloudy skies but no rain.Found out my Escort does detect Radar.Made it down and back in about 5 hours, each way.Didnt see any Troopers going down, but at least 12 I can remember coming back.ALL had radar going. We found out there was some Harley get together in Oklahoma that week or week-end.Both bikes ran great,no problems until we got home,Keefs new Force exhaust broke above the weld where it goes into the collector.Hopefully they will replace the exhaust, its not 30 days old!If I go to the Motorplex,it will be for just the day type of thing,im thinking now.Im planning to go to Quincy, been gone on the bike for the last 2 week ends, little voice in my head is telling me better stay home this weekend!Im thinking due to the tremendous turn out last week,to meet at Patty'os in Lees Summit. There will be lots of bikes if the weather holds, this Thursday night.Thats Patty O Quigleys--its on the west side of 291 and Woods Chappel road in Lees summit. As far as our KCMOB turn out has been,I really dont think it matters what night we meet, there are about5 or 6 regulars who show up most of the time and about dozen more who may or may not be there on any given, time or day,due to work, weather, spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend,no bike,no car, tall grass, drag races, hung over,ect...,ect...So,hope to see the regular guys there and anybody else who shows up! |

LOL, I can't believe the soon-to-be-wifey is letting you do "all that work." I thought she kept a tighter leash on you than that Todd, No bashing from any of us (well...except Richie prolly) for getting something other than a Buell. I'm curious to see what one of those critters look like. Hope it doesn't look like a green tiger on steroids (yea, YOURS DAve, hehe). Not sure if we could handle the neon green paintjob screaming out at us On a sad note, Hippie Dave's buddy eric(?) died over the weekend in a motorcycle accident He was the tech for Hoban Brothers racing team. Only in his early twenties.......R.I.P. Hippie Dave, Like I said...if I can help out in any way wrenching on sunday, let me know! Mobbers, Let's get a roll call going, and figure out what we're going to do. I'm up for leaving saturday eve, and camping till monday. Sam, what do you think...or should we prepare the soccer mom van and all head out sunday morning? Suggestions, comments, concerns?
