I sold my '06 XB12X a year ago, but I'm interested in getting another because of the incentives that are dropping the prices. My local dealer has a 2009 XB12XT (Tourer) at $8999 (list at 12,999), but he wants $1100 delivery and prep on top of that, making it 10,100 plus TTL. This does't sound like much of a deal, since it's a year-old model and the factory is already kicking in $3,000. Or is the factory giving $5,000 on these? If so, this dealer is actually asking over list price. Shouldn't I be able to get something like $8,000 plus TTL, out-the-door, for an '09 Tourer? What prices are folks getting these days? I'm willing to make a road trip in my pickup over the holidays. Dealer input welcome! thanks and regards, Marty |

Marty- from what's been posted here the incentives are $3k on XB's ($5k on 1125's). I agree the fees seem kind of exorbitant. Try posting in the Big, Bad, and Dirty forum; you'll get more Uly-specific responses. |

I got out the door on an '09 XT for $8200, while another dealer in my area was starting at $8999 and not interested in negotiating from that price.} |

My 08 XT is worth 14 Gs to me. Want to buy it? 10,100 sounds good to me. |

There is less than 180 Uly's left for sale in the US. They can sell them at MSRP and still have them fly off the shelf. |

Given what others have paid for them over the past 2 months, 9K OTD seems a fair price. I wouldn't (and didn't) pay more than that. B. |

$1100 delivery and prep? My dealer threw in free delivery and prep of the XT and picked up my trade-in. 180 miles round trip. I think you need to go back and talk to them boys again. I would deliver and prep it three times for that kind of money! Thanks and Merry Christmas to all of you. |

Thanks for all the input. I'm trying to decide between a new XT for 8500 or a new X for 7500. I like the X for it's ground clearance and suspension travel, and figure that I can pick up some bags in the future if I have to have them. Also, the last Buell I had was an '06 XB12X. I'm vacationing in Mississippi/Tennessee, and both of these bikes are within a day's drive. If the guy would just go 7000 on the X it would make up my mind for me. Since the sticker was 1500 less than the XT, it seems the discounted price should also be 1500 lower. Anyway, I bought my '06 XB12X new for 7500, and that was 3K off sticker with no factory "help" on the price, so I'm sure these guys have a lot more dealing room than they're letting on. |

Aren't the factory incentives going to expire soon? When we get close to that date they will want to deal more. |

46champ, When do the incentives expire? If it's in the next few weeks, I may sit tight. It's not like I have to have anything today, my KLR is a nice bike also. |

Boisebuell/Saundra, It's a longer drive than I'd hoped for, but what sort of deals have they offered on the XB12X? I'm leaning more and more toward that one, because the XT seems to be "lowered" in comparison, and I'm tall. Marty |

Marty, I'm 6'2" with a 35" inseam. I'm perfectly comfortable on the XT. Worst case scenario, get the tall seat after you buy. Unless you're going off road, doesn't seem like you'd need the extra suspension travel and the XT is designed to be more agile on the curves. |

Good input. Here on the mainland it seems we're seeing slightly better deals. (Message edited by funkychateau on January 11, 2010) |
