Hello all, I'm new to this board so please forgive the stupid questions. I've heard of people putting XB pegs on their 1125 to get more leg room. Can anyone give me the details on which pegs, what they do and how to install them. Thanks Peter |

The Ulysses pegs fit on without modification, and will give a 1" drop. Other XB pegs will fit, but don't give any further drop, and require modification. |

I've got a pair of Cycle Pirates adjustable footpegs on my 1125R. I originally got them for the XB9SX so I know they fit both. 54 possible positions, nice checkering for great grip and 2 types of footpeg options for about $120. They fit in your stock rearset bases and still fold up.

I picked up some of the Knight Design pegs off ebay for $75 a set. They have a nice 1" drop and are very well made. The fit is fantastic on my CR. The added room is very welcome. |

Got my Uly silver pegs for $37 from my shop. Now I am used to the std pegs on my 09 1125R--they aren't that bad. |

The XB Lighting pegs give a 1" drop and look more like racing pegs. Thats what I'm using and with the Firebolt touring seat lots of leg room. I'm 6' with 33 inseam. |

The modification for the XBs pegs is very minimal. That is what I choose to run. Very inexpensive @ ~$26 |

I have the Knight Design 1" drop cross trax 2 design which are less agressive tread than the ones shown above. My pegs took 17 days to fab (they told me this after I ordered) instead of the 3-5 days shown on ebay. Quick shipping after that. Didn't matter much since the bike is sitting on the lift waiting for my tall bar kit and other mods. They fit great and add more comfort. I went with the finish shown above. Kirb |

Yea they mentioned the nearly 3 week delay and i DEMANDED a refund immediately. The next email i got was a notice that would ship this past tues... and they did... in fact they be at the house by early next week... its kind of ridiculous to says 3-5 days and then stick the customer with 15-21 days... Supposedly they have changed their ebay auctions to reflect this lag time... |

Take a look here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/383533.html?1218125420 Wider and lower is better and much more comfortable, IMHO. |

I put a pair of SS 1" drops and changed the feelers to the stubby one so I wouldn't hit them all the time. I only had to modify it by grinding the bottom a little so they would swing up right. |

I used the Cycle Pirates, but mine are up and back, not lower. If you want more leg room, use a taller seat like the Touring seat. Lowering your pegs reduces your cornering clearance. |

Jim: You are correct but, on the street that is really not an issue for 98% of the riders. Comfort is more of an issue. A taller seat would present more of an issue to us inseam challenged riders. |

i got a set front and rear from knights for my 1125cr was going to use the ulysses footpegs But even though they will fit the mounts they still are not quite right for the 1125's see the gap at the top in the picture above, also the knights are billet and not cast.... |

Finally took pictures of my Cycle Pirates Footpegs mounted on my 1125R. I originally had these on my 2005 XB9SX, so I know they fit both. Found them on eBay again, they're only $75 for the pair and provide 56 possible mounting positions. Super grippy and they still fold. I mounted mine at stock height but back so I have more room for my legs and it is much more ergonomic for me when riding aggressively. You would be amazed at the difference a seemingly slight movement in controls makes. I wish I could find clip-ons that were as adjustable. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Foot-peg-360-Kit-Bl ack-CBR-GSX-R-Ninja-YZF-R1-R6-Buell_W0QQitemZ19030 9116481QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Access ories?hash=item2c4f4eaa41#ht_544wt_939 Jeff |

I'd love to hear more about the Cycle Pirate pegs! I am planning to get them for my XB12Ss so I can go back and up for more clearance at the track. |

Can you set the Cycle Pirate pegs in a straight down position to get max lowering? Thanks Peter |

Thanks for posting pics Jeff - those look great! I also wonder like Peter if they can be set straight down for most leg room. I like the idea of being able to adjust them, and they are less than the Uly black pegs (but more than the silver). Thx! rob |

I thought you guys would like the Cycle Pirate Pegs. For the money, they are the best option I've seen and a very cool engineering solution. They give similar checked pegs for great grip and multiple position options as the $300+ aftermarket rearsets for only $75, plus they still fold. Yes, you can position them in various points within an approximate 2" circle. The plate that the peg mounts to has multiple pin positions that you insert a steel locating pin that holds the peg in whichever position you choose. There are 2 holes to mount the peg into so that's how you end with 56 multiple positions. In the pictures above mine are positioned at the 3 o'clock position in the farther peg, so I moved the pegs the furthest back but at the same height as stock. If you wanted them down, you could have them in the 6 O'clock position. They come in silver and black, maybe other colors, I'm not sure. Jeff |

Al was the one to show me them first but he sells them for $75 plus $45 (two parts)... I think I am going to have to pass on them from him (sorry!) if this kit really includes everything you need for $75...? I was looking into just getting the no drop LSL mount since I have the 1" drop now, which would give me firebolt positioning but this will allow me to go back also, which I believe is more comfortable and more suited to the track... as well as up from the stock Ss position (and even up from the stock R position). So you like having the no drop (level) and on the farthest back? Probably what I will start with and adjust as I see fit. |

Here is a less aggressive version of the Knight peg, still very grippe, it's a little longer and wider than stock - with my 12EE's I really like them.

I've never really had an issue with my stock '09R pegs (5'11" w/ 20 years of H-D rides) ... But I do like the looks of that Knight peg that Renzo posted. Might be tempting! Mike |
