Hi there, I would appreciate any help obtaining a photo of Jay "Springer #9" Springsteen racing my 1998 S1W at Harley's 95th in Milwaukee. I am also considering selling my bike if the price is right. I have all the original plastic signed by Springer #9, there are less than 1000 miles on it. Thanks Dan |

Here's a shot, and a zoomed in section of the scanned print pic, although technically it doesn't show him racing.
Unfortunately all of my 'race' pictures are blurred from the action and from a considerable distance so comparing leathers might be the only way to identify the racers. Springer9s1w, PM me and I'll Email you what I've got scanned, 1313 |

So, were there any "specials" or "unusuals" in the S1W production run? Or would it be possible to get a scan of a build sheet for a particular bike? I just think it'd be neat to have in my bike's file....even though it's "just" a white/white/white 49 state bike. |

Dan, could you add some pictures and more information about your S1W? I'm curious about the mods it has had. I thought the ROC bikes weren't titled. Firemanjim has one (not sure if he sold it yet) and there is one on ebay that looks to be very original. ebay bike:

Here are some pictures of my Springer #9 Buell. It has been sitting in the garage and is dusty. I put the original plastic back on today and shot some pics. I don't know if I should ride it or not as far as it being a collector bike so I keep track of the miles I put on this bike. I would welcome thoughts on riding this bike or saving it for collectors. I have put only 60 miles on this bike so far, my nephew the previous owner put a couple of hundred miles on it and to my knowledge the 1998 ROC day w/Springer are all the miles on it to date. You can see on the wheels and air cleaner where they had Gorilla tape to pass inspection on race day, that stuff is tough to get off. |
