Black - unless someone down South gets one done, you're probably gonna have to wait for Spring. Dris and Martin's package has, by far, the most research behind it's development and implementation. |

Since this thread is already jacked , sorry OP............... Think BIG Turbo.... 28psi, big valve head, full port work, big cam, lots of timing, lots of Torco (a real octane booster) Decent size turbo, etc etc etc.... That car cost me a wife and alot of money... Of course the wife was costing me more than the car lol. I'll post a pic of it later this evening... this SVO mustang though is the history behind my Screen name ... |

When i was making 375whp i was running mid 11.60's@116 or so Calculated (i was really running 7.40's @94mph in the 1/8th.. oh and yanking the front tire too. i got a vid somewhere) Later i made 60+hp more so we guessed it would run LOW LOW 11's @ 121+mph.... maybe with decent suspension i could have knocked off a high 10 sec pass.. I currently have a new 2.8 long block assembly with a new aluminum head, even bigger port work, even Bigger cam and i'm planning a 72mm Turbo... the Goal is 550whp on pump gas and 700+ whp on Meth injection.... Through a AODE trans It should be a low 9 second contender.... it will be faster than the Buell, even with a great rider,(at the track of course). I keep forgetting to post a pic... i'll do it at lunch today... its clean for being 25years old... |

Those 2.3 liter engine are pretty tough!!I've seen one run high 9s at fun ford weekend . |

actually they are really tough. we have a lemons car that has 3 lemons endurance races on the shortblock.... its factory untouched and lives on the rev limiter... we actually considered just forgoing the pedal and wiring the tb wide open... Jon Huber is probably the most publicized (sp) 4 banger stang in drag racing... fastest with a 2.9ltr 4 pot is 8.90@155 |

John huber has been known to get close to 38 PSi of boost His car is actually on Jan cover of HOT ROD as 1000hp and 25mpg... obviously he detunes the car a bit for hwy strolling.... do a youtube search for Huber or Jon Dell Blair... both are 9 sec cars... Hubers is driven on long 1500 mile road trips ... thats KICKASS IMO lol Here's my pokey ride.. Oh and at the moment my ride is broke.. i had a totally stock shortblock... well the 88hp rated rods let go on the way to the dyno....I was only making 5.5 times the rated power of the rods.......oppps.... Oh well i guess i may have been abusing them a little with all the power i was making.. Once again , we are way off base in comparison to the thread, but no one seems to mind too much...Go Buell!!!!!! I would say start our own thread, but i dunno where... 3.73's, had the original 153XXX mile T5 till a run in a with a 911 turbo porsche made me push it a bit to much and i destroyed 3rd gear... so then i installed a stock 4cyl T5... then the rod did a stage right exit on the block.. Sift through my photobucket.. i got a few carnage pics... Ok i'm done with the thread jack... I promise |
