Has anyone any pics of this new 1190RR that's being/going to be raced in Europe? It probably looks like the 1125RR, plus or minus a few differences. It also is supposed to get 10-15 more hp than the 1125RR thats raced in the States and 20lbs more of torque(could be wrong on this). And lastly, hearing about how difficult it is to acquire a 1125RR in the States, how difficult could it be to acquire a 1190RR in the UK? I'm trying to get in on racing here in the UK, except on my RSV4, I also ride an 09 xb12scg as a 'to the job and back' bike but I like the feel of a race purposed motorbike(clip-ons, up and back bootpegs, extreme lean angles, etc... So I'd like to buy a 1125R and get it machined out plus other performance enhancing modifications if it's too difficult to get my hands on a 1190RR. Any comments, suggestions, anything of the sort, would be most appreciated. Thanks much!! Steve. |

It isn't hard to acquire a RR, if you got the $50k or whatever it is, its just a phone call away |

I think your questions would be better directed to EBR(Erik Buell Racing) |

So I'd like to buy a 1125R and get it machined out plus other performance enhancing modifications if it's too difficult to get my hands on a 1190RR. The 1190 RR hasn't been released yet according to the Buell racing web site. If you are considering racing a Buell in the UK then you will plough a lonely furrow I'm afraid (been there, done that!) so don't expect to find the level of on track support that you will find racing a more common Jap/Italian bike. Be prepared to carry ALL of the spares you are likely to need for a weekend, as you won't be able to buy them trackside or even at a local H-D dealer. Also be prepared for lots of transatlantic phone calls/e-mails etc when you want anything for the bike or even advice on tuning or setup, as there is precious little knowledge this side of the pond. Having said that, you will be guaranteed a crowd around your bike at every race meeting, and there is a lot of satisfaction to be had racing a bike that nobody else races over here Prices of 1125R's here are at rock bottom right now (This week's MCN has a 2009 1125R with 1000 miles on it for just £2400 or around US$3840!), so would probably be a better starting point for a club racer than importing a purpose built 1190RR (which would not be legal here for production based racing). |

2400 quid? That's it?! Jesus H Christ, might have to sell the RSV4... I could buy two lovely lobsters for what I can sell the RSV4 for, anything major in differences between a 1125 and an xb12scg? Such as handling, power distribution, etc... Being as I've never rode a 1125R yet. |

Think of it like this, more power than your RSV4, and better handling than your SCG. |

anything major in differences between a 1125 and an xb12scg? um seriously??? short answer, everything. turn in seems a little better at speed. power wise there is no comparison on stock verses stock. power is just as linear as the xb's if not more so. it has a very broad power range. theres just a ton more of it. take an xb, and kick it up a few notches. that will give you a decent idea, and i love my xb... |

Oh yea? Then how come they got creamed in AMA superbike!! They didn't race in AMA Superbike in 2009. They came in 4th in WSBK in 2009. If DMG is still in business in 2010, then you just might see them compete in AMA Superbike.} |

Well that would explain why I didn't see any in the top 10 when I checked the standings after posting |

Lol, I have an RSV4, the new 'sexy' V4. It has near twice the power and speed of my xb12scg, in fact, I have yet to find a stretch of road to top the Aprilia out on. I've topped the Lightning at around 135ish, fastest I've gotten the RSV4 is 145 on a runway and wheelies like it's born for it but still have to pop the front end up on my scg. She feels like she wants to but when I go to clutch her in it's just like 'bleh' no way. My RSV4 is stock except for an aftermarket silencer, more like megaphone since it sounds like an MG42 when I wrench on the throttle. The scg is totally stock, except for US market headers(I read Europes rob 10-15hp so I ebayed some US ones over here, I'll refrain from saying the shipping costs) |

Does Fresnobuell own an 1190RR or an RSV4? Do you have to own Sportster to know it's slower than an 1125R? |
