This has been in the back of my mind for the last couple months now. Should I upgrade my '06 XB12Ss for a 2010 1125r? The XB has been great, and I have no complaints about it, other than I don't really enjoy the wind blast at 70mph on long trips. The XB is in like new condition with only 5000 miles on it, and all service, etc is current. Everything on it is stock, with the only addition being frame pucks. What would I get in trade for the XB, or should I try to sell it myself? If it doesn't happen, I will certainly enjoy the XB for years to come, but with the pricing and the year end coming up, this may be the time to try to get an awesome bike for a great price. Any suggestions? |

2010's are very hard to find, have you already lined one up? Also, with the prices, you better hurry, they are going fast. |

BTW, I see NO 2010 1125R models left in WI. http://www.buell.com/en_us/tools/find-a-bike/state -inventory.asp?statefilter=WI# Do you have a current loan on your '06? If so, you're probably better to just hold onto it, good chance you are upside down on the loan if you were to trade it. |

Ultimately you would have to ride the 1125 to see if its right for you. I also have a 06 SS and love my 1125's more than the XB. |

Meh, My bad. I meant to post 2009, there are a few of those around still. . . The loan can be paid in full if need be, I have some money that can be used to pay it, but then the wife doesn't get that nice new washer/dryer this year. Priorities, right? |

DO IT!! To me, nearly everything about the 1125 is better compared to the XBs. |

The 1125R is a much more refined motorcycle. The only thing you will miss is the fuel economy. |

Yes, but with the rarity and limited build of the 2010 models I would be surprised to see a used one already. And I was assuming that he was looking for new. |

So now do I try to trade it in? Will a HD dealer even do this? I know what I think the XB is worth, but I don't see how I would ever get anything close to a decent amount given the price cuts on new XBs. It seems there are more 1125's available than XB12Ss, so does that help? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for the responses already. |

In early November, I traded my XB12Scg in on a new but 2008 1125R at my local HD dealer. They gave me a decent trade in for the XB and I got the fire sale price on the 1125R. In hind-sight, I probably should have kept the XB but it all works out in the end. I had thought about the 1125 for a while but wasn't quite ready. Then, with the dropping of Buell, I figured I would never see new ones again, so I went for it. Couldn't be happier. |

Why not just buy the 1125r and keep the XB too like Rockstarblast1 said. I would. |

" In early November, I traded my XB12Scg in on a new but 2008 1125R at my local HD dealer. They gave me a decent trade in for the XB.. " Mind sharing what you got for the trade, how many miles, any extras done to it? I am having a hard time figuring the price to ask for my 2007 XB12X since I am getting a 2010. ~jammer PS. you can PM me if you want to keep it private |
