John,
I was telling Dan that he needs to get with just the guys so he can let it rip. With me, he's a good sport, cause he's gotta come down to my level.

I'm still just a beginner. Only one single track so far and it still kinda scares me. I'll get better tho, just need more time on the dirt bike.

I can't ride for a while now. Had surgery on Fri and with the drugs I'm on, no riding or driving for me.

Thanks for the offer Jewels. This Christmas I'll be going with the fiance to her parents for it. I'm doing ok, they have me on some really good pain meds. Was minor surgery, in and out. Just now that all of the numbing stuff has worn off I'm really starting to notice the area. Needs to be packed each day, so don't think I'll be going back to work to soon.

Rode to work yesterday, 23F at 8:10 am.
Had to duck-walk out of the neighborhood, lotsa ice, roads were good tho.
Warmer but windy at lunch-time, scooted home for a smootch, then back to HC.
Lot of snow-melt, got a stripe up my back.

I will ride in again today.
Loretta gets a new fuel pump when Kevin has a lift open.

Saw a posting in the XB board with listings of how many Buells are still left. There are 1441 in the States and 31 of those in Colo.Interesting stuff.

There is also an article in American Motorcyclist about Eric and how riders have reacted the HD pulling the plug on Buell, page 20 : (

Zac, Frank, and all other 1125 owners:

I just ordered the HiFiltro Pro oil filter that fits our Rotax motors. I took a chance on the guy from Greenville, TN who is selling them on eBay. Anyhoo, with shipping it comes out to $48.05 for 4 filters and 2 o-rings. Let me know if you are interested in how this works out, or if you want to buy one off of me.

I need to change my oil soon so I can maybe ride it before the end of the year. I haven't even started the bike in over 3 weeks!

Jody, I think that's the same filter that Dan ordered. We got 4 also. As soon as I can get past 300 miles Dan will change the oil. I'm almost there but like you, haven't ridden in a while.

The 1125's are in the basement. Dans installed the high bars on his and we need to order some blinkers for mine as I'm taking off the mirrors to install one bar end mirror

I just picked up a filter and 3 qts of Red Line 10w-40 last week.
Still need to change it, 20w-50's too thick now.

Just got back from a celebration ride -
Got the oil changed, Loretta was delivered 2 years ago today,

Bar-B-Q'd some chicken and burgers earlier(mmmm real Mesquite) and my little brother comes to stay for a while with his(my old) Firebolt on Sunday.
Whew!

Must be time for a beer.

OEM 1125 rear blinkers, or XB blinkers?
We should be able to get any OEM production parts for a long time.

Well, Dan and I have done it again. We're back in the RV mode. Brought home our new toy hauler today. My mind is racing with thoughts of where to go. Can't wait for spring and summer to get here.

Ok so with this post I'm breaking 1000.

Gotta start working on getting the 1125's out of the basement so we can fit them in the toy hauler and maybe take a ride today. Suppose to be a litter warmer.

I just realized I need to get my plates by Dec 22. Haven't paid any attention to that with the bikes being out of site, out of mind down in the basement.

Oh and the bikes fit very nicely in the toy hauler and got lots of pics. Now to customize the wheel chocks.

Jody I'm hoping racing2savelives has their track day in Utah the summer cause I told Dan if they do I want to go. We'll probably also use this to
go out to HPR this summer.

Frank, it's made by Cruiser RV and it's a Fun Finder Xtra 190 (19'). We got it at Sun City in Colo Springs and they actually have one more left. They are both 2008's so Randy, the owner, did bring the price down some. It's small but we were limited to the vehicle we have as we didn't want to buy another truck. With all the toys, we didn't want to go further into debt. : ) It is very cute tho and with all the toy haulers we looked at this one is very homie as well as functional to get the bikes in.

Sun City is now closed for the next 2 weeks. They will open up again after the new year.

Heres some pics with the bikes in it. I am SOOOOOOOO excited.

I looked at several in the Springs at different places and actually decided to just get a trailer to haul the bikes but this has me rethinking it. I cannot wait to see it in person.
