I am curious where you are dialed.

I am about 160 with gear. aggressive twisty rider on 2009 1125R

FRONT
preload 4 turns in from minimum
rebound 2 turns out from maximum
comprssion 2 turns out from maximum

REAR
preload 2 steps from minimum
rebound 1.25 turns out from maximum
compression 22 clicks from maximum

this works pretty good for me. nice neutral steering when the GPR damper is removed. dead solid like it's on rails when installed. I am curious because my sag is less than it should be... the springs are too stiff and i am wondering what the other light weighs have done to compensate

I set mine per the manual. At 235lbs the front springs are way too weak. Im just waiting on my Traxxion AK20's and Penske shock anyway : D

I was going to ask what your sag was at? With those settings i'd have more rear sag than front and I'm told that's not optimal.

I currently have my front set at 2 turns preload and rear is 4. Lowered the front 3mm by moving the forks up. All my other settings are the same as yours, including tire pressure.

I may change my front springs, not sure how much trouble it will be. I'm 150ish with gear, my helmet does only weight 3 lbs though.

Any bigger guys set theirs per the manual? I'm set at 260 lbs per the owner's manual. Probably won't be taking it to the track more than once or twice (but who knows ... maybe I'll fall in love with the track thing like so many do).

Just not sure what to do messin' with the settings different than factory recommendations. What do you think? I mean everything feels good, but then again I've only been riding for about 5,000 miles, so I wouldn't even know what to look for on the road in terms of preload, compression, and/or damping settings.

thanks for the input.

yes I am wanting more sag in the front but I was worried about dive during braking and running out of adjustment.

My actual sag is at 27mm front and 30mm rear... pretty much.... depends on who is helping me! LOL

moosestang thanks for posting. I think Ill continue to dial in less preload on the front and see if it keeps improving?.... maybe increase the preload on the rear?

this machine kicks ass
