It would probably be a last minute decision for me. The place does look a bit foo foo... but $15/night for a tent site is reasonable enough. |

We'll have them turn the water off if it makes anyone feel better about being to foo - foo. |

"The place does look a bit foo foo... but $15/night for a tent site is reasonable enough." We Badwebbers should be able to break in the site properly. Rustic campsites/bonfires/cookin/cussin/lyin/laughing/pas sin out safely should be arranged. Lunch/Dinner at TWO should be planned, as they have limited capacity/times/hours. How far from the nearest grocery/Wallyworld is this place? I'm planning on being on a budget and as self-sufficient as I can be. I'd LOVE access to amenities, especially showers and A HOT TUB. My bones are aging, parboiling myself would be a good thing, planning to ride the next day. 4/23 weekend and days prior will be noted on my calendar for 2010 if that's gonna be the date. |

How far from the nearest grocery/Wallyworld is this place? As far as Blairsville goes, the resort is practically in "town". |

I'm sure I can't make it and once again that is a serious bummer for me but I have a question; Do you people ever plan a ride when it's not raining?

Ride towards the yellow on the radar... that means it's sunny right? I always plan to ride when it's not raining, but sometimes plans don't work out perfectly. T |

As far as Blairsville goes, the resort is practically in "town". As far as Suches goes, the resort is DEFINITELY in "town". |

Part of the aim in moving it a few weeks later is to try to capitalize on warmer, drier weather. It might still rain, but at least the probability is lower. |

Do you people ever plan a ride when it's not raining? just curious... Have you seen the forecast? If so let us know which days of the year you do plan to ride and we'll help plan something for that day also. |

In this area about a week after March Badness the weather always turned for the better. It is weird, almost as if a switch has been thrown. Winter gunge just hangs and hangs, then, poof.....it is above 70F everyday! I think the 23rd is the ticket! I'm planning on camping. |

Just got back and re-read my post along with Tnxbrider's comments and while I meant no harm it reads like I'm putting a damper on your very cool event. That was not my intention. It will do no good to delete my post at this time so all I can do is apologize. I apologize. Dan |

I didn't take it as a negative comment. I think that March Badness, as an event, was probably going to be dead because of the weather. I think most have voiced that they probably wouldn't be coming because of the consistent rain (last three years running). I echo your comments and hope the change of dates helps reduce the likelihood of rain. |

The plans sound real good so far, and I think the idea of trying to get everyone as close together as possible is great. In the past I have missed out on all the hullabaloo at night because I would go home every day. With this arrangement, I will try to stay so I can meet more people. BTW Ft_bstrd, Walmart is much closer than Suches. Oh yeah, +1 Xb1200rick |

I'm working to make sure the 23rd works. I think that will be the date, but I want to make sure. What I am working on now is getting a break down of the lodging situation. There are several king and queen beds, so I want to make sure we have an accurate count of single accommodations. We'll also need to see how many couples we have as well as the breakdown for cabins. Once I have that done, I'll list the break down of the accommodations and reservation instructions. |

Count me in as well for this one. Ditto on what Froggy said too, I have to manage this event with the "MUST DO" homecoming and Buelltoberfest. Being I am getting ever closer to finishing "Trailer Trash", I will hope she is the ride of choice for this event. If not, well the new girl (cr) gets to play. Any chance of some home brew from the TN boys? |

Working at it, but it is no longer easy. Some bad turn of events for some of the makers in the past year or two, that's what I've been hearing. |
