I don't see the issue, it probably uses a dual filament bulb, and draws whatever it needs. |

I'll be rewiring. An adapter shouldn't be too hard to rig. They basically work the same way, just that the single light has both elements in a single bulb, where the XB has 2 bulbs. Should be able to jump the hot from the XB high beam wire and run it into the M2 high beam receptacle, and only use one ground (from either XB light). That's my theory, anyway. ~SM |

It really wouldn't take much to mount it up...at least on the light i have. Just a bracket on each side and 3 wires. Then make or mod a flyscreen at the bottom.

I rode my S2 the other night...thinkin' a big ol' square lamp would work great on the Uly. Damn thing on the S2 is AWESOME, it's nice when you use a cager light on a bike. Great beam spread, good brightness (I've upgraded to a Hella replacable bulb setup instead of the sealed beam) on low and even better on high. |

BTW that lamp is off of a late 70's early 80's honda...maybe a wing. It can go up more. I just have it hanging by some wiring to get an idea for looks. If I pull it up, I can make it even with the piece behind it. |

ultimately, I would like it without the fly screen but it may be needed to cover up some sins... |

I like it, but think the S2 or Blast flyscreen would look better than the XB one. |

Agreed. The tuber or blast lights and flyscreens already go together. I'd be afraid of exposing all that wiring back behind the Ss flyscreen, no matter what. |

Hmmm... I'm thinking you'll really need to mod that S fairing to make it look right. Maybe cut a hemisphere into the bottom and line it with some of that windshield edging to hide any rough spots. I wish my frikkin' lamp mounts would get here already! I'm anxious to get this thing started! ~SM |

The pics shown earlier are of my bike. I put an 8" Race light on it from Baja Designs: https://www.bajadesigns.com/NET/C-166/SINGLE+8-INC H+RACELIGHTS The knob on the top is to adjust the light up/down. Other than needing to remount the horn and find a place to hide the extra wiring, there isnt too much involved to swap out the light. The instrument cluster needs to be remounted onto a custom made bracket that can bolt up to the original mounting holes for the head light assembly.

Man, my mounting brackets from Fly-n-Cycle STILL haven't shown up. Supposedly they shipped on the 4th, but that's really only 8 business days, so I guess I should give them a few more before jacking them up over the phone.. ~SM |

Hey Mark, Ya big dummy! I've been thinking about setting up the Lightning style double headlights on the Blastulys. Would you be interested in a swap? Heck, if you had a weekend you could get away, you could bring it down and we could truss up some bracketry and throw back a couple beers to get 'er done! |
