Frank, Ya, I survived. We had 5 tornados go through the area. Here is the headline from the newspaper the next day. Unbelievable: Five tornadoes cause massive damage in area towns Posted Sunday, May 11, 2003 by Webmaster By Matt Schuckman and Ann Pierceall Herald-Whig Staff Writers They took out a 2 small towns in this area (Canton, MO and Lima, IL). Guess one of them was a F3 (reallly don't know how big this is?) Quincy didn't get hit. Kind of an eary feeling when you hear those storm sirens go off. You guys over in tornado alley are more than welcome to keep those damn things over there!!!!! Quit sending the damn things our way!!! "> Keith (Message edited by gravedigger on May 13, 2003) |

Well, I'm going to be out at KCIR.... The first bike night of the summer....everybody bringing out their winter projects, nitrous bikes running 7.7's, turbo bikes(street) running low, low, low 9's. It's like opening day of deer season....everyone creeping around looking for unsuspecting victims. Hell, I know people who were out there last night sneaking in some extra runs, just preparing for tonight. I have a bunch of buddies going out, However I wouldn't miss it anyways. Just watching people shake off the cobwebs from a long winter, newbies looping bikes on the line, and all the untested stuff blowing up. If you haven't been, this one evening, the inagural night of the summer, is by far, one of the most exciting. I can already smell it! There will be more bikes there tonight than any other night all year! You guys have fun at dinner. |

SAM, Well, give us a report!!! any looped bikes blown engines etc.... Here is an updated list of people I believe are confirnmed for the HOG rally. Ben (Blaster420) Sam (shazam), Frank (cyclone1, Franks roommate, Richie (Richie150), Keith (Keef) and Myself (gravedigger). 8 confirmed for entire rally. 10 for saturday ride. Missing anyone? There are also at least two buddies of mine riding with us on Saturday (Jesse - Gsxr1000 and Ramy - yzf6.) ANYBODY else interested, please let me know. The majority of Harley riders that I have spoken with say they prefer to go on the poker run that day. IL Harley riders tend to hate to have to wear thier helmets and since we will be solely riding in NE MO they can't be convinced to join us. I personally think that we will have plenty on time to drink a couple during the evening hours and don't need to stop every 10 miles to parch our thirst. "> The route is coming along quite nicely. After we get about 10-15 miles out of IL I have been able to put together a route that only has about 5-10 miles of straight roads for the rest of the route. I plan to do a bit more exploring and see if I can't remedy that problem "> the route distance at this point is approx 200 miles total. Anyone that has any questions please feel free to contact me.
