Bob - Go into Diagnostic Mode, at the very end it will list SW 6.x and CAL 1.x If it's SW 6.2 you are OK, otherwise watch them. My opinion - Not all do this, just ones that drift high on the resistance of the sensor in cold climates. Zack |

Bobbuell1961 - if the bikes have been/are stored in a warm garage or workshop then the fuel may be warm enough to prevent this occurring, but if the bike has a lowish fuel level and is then refuelled from a petrol station (typically an underground fuel tank) there is a strong possibility of the cold fuel bringing on the problem, as the fuel warms with heat from the engine the fault is likely to clear. At least this is what was happening when I filled the bike from a jerry can of fuel that had been standing outside over a winter's night. |

At the dealer now getting this checked out. They said it had an error code p0193. They are still looking at the bike to try and figure it out. Mike Long Island, NY 09 XB12X Red/Black 09 1125CR Black/White 06 VRSCR Blue/Silver |

Unless the filling station is in the tundra, I don't think that the tanks underground will allow the fuel to reach a temperature below about 60 degrees. Your jerry can obviously can, but I know that average temperature in caves is about 60 year round. |

The SW on my bike is 6.0 The dealer said there was nothing he could do at this point. Asked him if he would call Buell tech on Tuesday and discuss it with them. His answer was "I really don't want to call them on a cluster issue. The last one we had in the shop Buell tech had us go thru the whole bike including the harness before they would send us a cluster. We spent 12 hours on the bike and they paid us for 2.5 hours. We are not looking to get into that problem again." WTF!!! This dealer is closed on Mondays so we will see if they call them on Tuesday. New fuel rail pressure sensor fixed my P0193. It took 3 times in the shop to get that fixed. |

OK, so to wrap this up from my perspective - My Loretta will first get a new fuel pump/sensor and I believe this is a necessary step. Some measurements, Temperatures are coolant temp in Celsius(ODIS), Fuel temp in Fahrenheit(thermocouple in fuel tank, external meter), ambient is quite chilly. Resistance is across pins A-D to fuel pump(sensor) 58C/87.7F - 1750 Ohms 45.5C/86F - 1823 Ohms 31C/76.7F - 2072 Ohms 14C/57F - 2641 Ohms 1.0C/33.8F - 3700 Ohms - ambient ~32F for 6 hours. My sensor's resistance has shifted so far, my LFL/CEL do NOT go out on a 30 minute ride. I appreciate all the technical info I have received, but I am convinced my Service Dept. is proceeding appropriately. Zack |

Guys have the dealer replace your cluster instead of your pump. There is a bug in clusters software that is causing this issue. They will only replace the cluster under warranty if it is having this issue but if you are get the new cluster which should be running sw 6.2 for 08/09 bikes and sw 7.1 for 10 bikes. 7.1 is the same sw as 6.2, the only difference is in the hardware since 2010 clusters are built for bulb turn signals on the front and rear. So what happens if I've already got the 6.2 cluster on my 2008 1125R and I'm still having the fuel & engine light with the b1005 code? Didn't get a pic of the lights on, but here's the code and firmware version. Believe me when I say I'm still having the problem.
