Who rerouted the breather hose? What catch can option did you use? |

Never seen any signs of oil in the airbox. I don't think it's an issue. |

I temporarily closed of the port in the air box and rerouted the engine breather to the rear licence plate, no problems, I am looking to put a catch can under the seat. When I had an XB12R I routed the cyl head breather lines to a catch can with a drain and vent, located this by the oil cooler, after a ride it was interesting to drain the catch can and look at what came out, which was a clear liquid 99% of the time. The hot gases passing into the can were cooling in the can before getting to the vent and the water vapour was condensing out, by having the can immediately behind the oil cooler I was trying to keep the gas temperature up before it exited the can. I cleaned a good amount of oil out of air box @ 200 miles. Maybe it was just a break-in issue. |

If you rip on your 1125r really good, you WILL have oil in the airbox. I have to clean mine out from time to time, and I deliberately run a slightly low (on the low side of OK) oil level. High RPMs, big twin... you are going to get a touch of blow back from time to time. It's a normal condition of my track bike. Not nearly as common on my street bike which isnt run as hard. |

The 2-3 times I have been in the airbox, I haven't seen the evidence, even the sponge fairly dry...and the bike gets thrashed pretty good. |

No need for the required change either. Works well as designed. Might be different if I was racing..I'm not. Mike |

I saw some trace of oil when I was removing the noid. I'll just keep an eye on it. My I-4 jap bike does the same thing. |

"The 2-3 times I have been in the airbox, I haven't seen the evidence, even the sponge fairly dry...and the bike gets thrashed pretty good.". Ditto, and I've been into my airbox 20-30 times. Very high miles on my bike for 1 year old (16,000 miles) and the sponge is bone dry. I do use the K&N air filter. |
