It was hard enough trying to drive to work today. We got a little more down South this time. I am waiting for that global warming everyone is talking about. Looks like we will get hit again tonight. Here is hoping for a snow day. Snow days are new to me but what the hey. I might as well enjoy them like all the other civil servants. It almost makes up for the cut in pay,,,, almost. |

I like snow days too, however, I don't get paid for them. Where, oh where, is that global warming. I'm waiting for it. |

Plus 1000 No snow day yet, just two hour delays. Today would had made a good snow day. It was brutal out there. It reminds of the three years I spent in North Dakota. |

My outside thermometer never got above zero here today near Morrison. We only got a couple of inches of snow with about 4 total on the ground. |

I am really sick of trying to drive 40 miles a day in this crap. The roads are real slick. A Ford F-250 does not exactly stop on a dime during normal road conditions much less on snow and ice. Everyday there is a new place to slide and I have been real lucky so far. You all be safe out there. |

I had a doctors appointment today. So the parking lot was full and I needed to park on the street. As I pulled out of the parking lot I was pointed 270 degrees from the direction I needed to be to parallel park on the street. Remember the parallel parking move in the Blues Brother movie? It was almost a perfect slide in move. I try to look on the bright side of life sometimes. |

As I drove home it was -6 degrees at our mail box. On the brighter side, only 13 more days till the days start getting longer (forget that it's also the first official day of winter). |

Frank, I hear ya man. I drive a Dodge 2500. Course, this cold just killed my ~7+ year old batteries. So, I got to have to joy of replacing them in this crap weather. My fingers still ache. |

Ryan, that sucks. I think I have used the block heater more in the last week than I did all of last year. Below 10 degrees it gets plugged in. I am looking forward to those longer days Julie... |

I finally got the truck running. I think it was fuel that got too cold. Anyway, I am not going to forget to plug her in tonight. I had some overtime so I was able to leave at the proper time. I really wanted to get home because I had a lot of goodies from ebay and American Sport Bike arrive for the S2 project. The roads in Fountain are still pretty bad and the neighborhood is still cover in snow and ice. It is unusual for sure. Usually when you all up North are getting hammered by snow we get nothing. |

You boys are a hoot. Dan, too, received a couple of packages and one was from American Sport Bike. He's got another one on the way from them. He's going to be putting the high bars on his CR. Must keep you guys busy in the winter months. |

Also. The invite is still out there for Christmas day if anyone would like to join us. Nothing specific planned currently but I'm sure we could put something festive together. Let us know. |

Julie, I talked to Brian H. the other day, he said he and his wife might me interested in joining you guys for Christmas. I might come too if I do not hear from my friends soon about Christmas. I usually spend Christmas with them and they mentioned it to me at Thanksgiving but have not heard anything for sure yet. So, if that dose not pan out, I will be happy to come down. it would be good to see you and Dan. John |

Frank and Lynn, that sounds great. Dan loves deviled eggs. We will supply the main course and some side dishes but it will be a surprise (not a turkey). John, it would be great if you and Brian and wife would join us. I'm thinking we could all get together starting around 1:00pm and go until whenever. And if the weather got bad we have plenty of space for folks to crash. Any anyone else out there that would like to join us please let us know. You guys are like an extended family. Talked again with the apartment office. Reached an agreement. The office will look the other way if I plug in through my garage. Just the maint people might mess with it. Though, being I'll be plugging in at 9+ pm at night and it will be gone by 5:30 am. I don't think I'll have to much trouble. |

I may need to get a dipstick oil-heater for my Jeep. Can't get her to start. Neighbor's Dodge 4x4 froze the radiator and puked itself dry Wednesday on the way to work. Nursed it home, filled up w/ straight Prestone and all is good again. Global what??? |

So it's too cold to ride and where is Dan? Out in the garage changing out the front motor mounts on our XB's. Tomorrow he's getting the high bars delivered for the CR so that will be his next project. Never ending projects Yesterday we went looking at toy haulers and we may be picking one up next Sat. It is really cute and will hold 2 bikes easily. Already thinking about all the trips we can take with it. And John, if we get it, we'll be doing a whole lot more dirt biking next year (next year OMG it's only weeks away till 2010). |

Yeah Steve. Can't talk Dan into taking the bikes out. He's a fair weather biker but I love him anyway I did tell him we need to get out at least once before December is over tho. |
