I'm not real big on all the plastic bits. I wear a pair of all-leather Chippewas. They work well under jeans or over leathers.

I vote for Sidi boots, I won't wear any thing else. I love my Vertigo Corsa. Even thou, they're one of their track focused boots, I've worn them around the office all day long without any problems. http://www.sidisport.com |

I've got a few different boots. A pair of Sidi B2's work great for weekend strafing runs where I'll do some walking around. A pair of Sidi Vertigo Air's for the track. A pair of "biker boots" so I don't look like a goob at work. A pair of cowboy boots (Justin's) when I want to "dress up" for work. Surprisingly, the cowboy boots are the most comfortable for all day wear/extended walking. |

I have to agree with V8killr on the Sidi products and have used their bicycle shoes for many years. They make great foot wear. I chose the Dainese Torque Outs in the end. They are extremely comfortable on and off the bike and do just fine around the office. Go try some boots on and see how they feel. Make sure the fit is right and the boots offer the protection you're looking for. |

heres my opinion... intermediate rider.. was using loggers in the beginning steel toe, comfort ok didnt go with the buell leathers. wanted a pair of boots for all around track and casual use.. bought a pair of sidi boots air lites i think... not to loud, comfort great on bike but not for going any where and not for walking...was my first pair "safty" first hahaha thats what i said to the wife to buy them. Now i use the sidi for sporty riding and a pair of redwing 200gm nonsteel toe for riding.. difference in the two.. basically the non fits better in and around the shifter than the reg steel toe. bottom line i felt i needed two different boots i think i found them. hope this helps. |

What's the rules for trackridng and style you need to wear. Depends on the track & organization. I've seen folks on track with all kinds of boots (cowboy, moto-cross, work, etc.) at some events. I've also seen folks not allowed on track without a dedicated riding boot. For trackdays, the "general" rule is that they have to go above the ankle & be leather. Check the details against the track(s)/organization(s) you plan on riding with. Just as an aside, never hurts to buy the best boot you can afford for the track IMO. If you're on a budget, look for a boot that can do double duty for track as well as regular canyon carving/backroad blasting. |

Quoting the boot requirements from 1 of the trackday outfits I use: Boots You must wear boots that cover at least 1” inch above your ankles and they must be of leather construction. You are not required to wear boots designed specifically for motorcycling, but it is strongly recommended! Boots must have adequate lace, buckle, Velcro or strap closures and should not be torn or extremely worn. |

What's the rules for trackridng and style you need to wear. Honestly it's nice to think of the rules. However, I almost always go past the rules. To that end, getting a pair of boots for the track, pick a brand that provides the most support possible and fit matches your foot with limited slop. You really don't want your foot moving inside the boot while sliding from a crash. Therefore, the more adjustment, the greater the boot is going to fit. Hope that helps. Jason |

You can find reasonable sport/track boots on closeout for under $100. Vega, TCX, and AGV are some of the lower-end but still functional boots. I have a lot of Sidis primarily because I find them comfortable and have been able to score them at significant discount. I doubt I'd be willing to pay full freight for them. KeS |

I still use my SIDI roadrace boots from 1985. The Italians make the best shoes, bar none! |

I have both the icon super duty 2's and the accelerant boots. The super duty is like a hiking boot and the accelerant feels just like a high top sneaker. The accelerant is tight compared to the super duty. I should have ordered a 10, but a 9.5 in the super duty is big in comparison. I bought a pair of the joe rocket super streets, but didn't like the looks of them. They look better in pictures IMO. |

I just picked up a pair of boots from Komodo, along with a set of their top-tier gloves. Great fit, looks like alot of protection and a great price. If you match up with a set of gloves from them you get a discount as well. |

Aerostich Combat Lite Boots. Best damned boots I've ever owned in twenty seven years and a half a million miles of riding, bar none. Protective, nearly waterproof (just don't go wading in rivers with them) and comfortable enough to teach an MSF BRC while wearing all day on the range. I've tried a LOT of boots and nothing even comes close. PS: In case you didn't know, SIDI makes the Combat Touring and Combat Lite boots exclusively for Aerostich. Can't get them anywhere else.
