my boy wants to get me a new rear tire for my 96 s1 for xmas. it has a dunlop d 207 rear and a dunlop front, front is like new.would the new sportmax q2 be a good replacement i'm 61 and don't normaly ride to agresive but i have got'en over on the edge of the tread before. sheriff was after me no tags or ins.had to hall ass (Message edited by badsix-2 on December 06, 2009) | ||

hey, i can afford to ride legally i just took the bike out of storage on a week end and wanted to try it out road about 5 mi. and what the f--k does socialized health care got to due with me ask'n about info on a tire ??? | ||

Jay just use a sport tire compound and in good shape if your riding a high-performance stump- puller and hopefully you wont need any health ins.Pull Some GGGGGs Butch  | ||

Continental Race attack endurance is my choice. I tried the conti road attack and my bike killed it in 3500 miles. I usually do 2-3 tires on the rear vs just one front for a 3 to 1 wear average. dam, thats scary info. i think i'll look some other brands.how about avon and some others. i would allso like to change the front i think its the origanal tire the bike has 12k on it and that tire is 13 years old thats long enough. thanks man! | ||

I've had no problems with the Bridgestone 021's and I've never heard of one blowing don't know if they are the same in US as in OZ tho , I've just put Metzler Z6's on as the are supposed to wear better , seem to be a nice tire so far. | ||

Metzelers are nice; made by Pirelli. Never used them myself, but heard lots of good reviews, and always had AMAZING results from Pirellis, so the same to be expected from Metzelers. Once my Scorpion Syncs wear off, I think I'll try some of the new Pirelli Angel STs. | ||

no doubt the perelli's on the xt are better than dumbflops(will never put those on none of the bikes) but for being a dual compound tire, not to impressed with the center. decided to go with the michellins pilot road 2's. | ||

I live where there are no twisties and it does rain alot. What would be a good tire with wet conditions and long lasting as the main criteria. My Dunlop is looking pretty worn after only 2000 miles, I'm guessing it will be replaced by 3000 or 3500. I was thinking Scorpion Syncs. | ||

I go through a lot of tyres and the Michelin Pilot Road 2s are what I use now. Good grip, good feel and the best mileage of anything I've had before. | ||
