I have a line on a 2008 Black XB12R Firebolt with 2100 miles for $4,800, the pictures look great and looks totally stock, I will be looking at it later in the week. Sounds like a decent deal? Opinions? |

That sounds very good to me. If possible, post pictures here so we can scrutinize. (I am broke, don't worry about me stealing ) |

Looks stock other than a warning sticker removed, and some extra sticker added to the frame. |

I just got a similar deal about a month ago...$5000 with 700 miles. I didn't realize the evidence that it tipped over on both sides, but it's not the end of the world. I got a basically brand new bike in my favorite color at a great price. Before I got the bike, I felt the improved tranny, oiling system, fuel injection, swingarm, ecm and bigger gas tank were worth the $$ compared to an older XB. I overlooked the numerous threads of poor gas milage and stuttering issues. I can tell you the stuttering didn't effect me. Getting only 26 MPG (64 and 62 miles before the gas light comes on my last two fill ups. It seems like a fluke though, most people besides Froggy are getting mid 30s-low 40s) will be a PITA being that I often ride with a group. Hopefully a dealer ECM reflash should help. I'm also paying 3x the amount for insurance. Don't get me wrong, every time I open the garage I get a huge smile on my face. Looking back, would I do it again...? |

If its to go riding with your son. The bike is worth twice the price.. Do it while you can. I bought my son A beater bike to teach and go riding with him, the bike didn't get fixed before he left for the service. Sounds like A very good price to me. The ones on craigslist are more. |
