It seems like every time I my Cr for a spin, the cluster fogs over the speedo. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Maybe its not sealed correctly?

I've just started a warranty claim for the same thing happening.

I have the same thing happening, and it tends to go away if I don't ride for a couple of days. No real ill effects yet except the speed is a little hard to make out at times, and I am wondering if it will go away over time. I did, after all, buy the bike at the end of October in the Pacific Northwet, so I think I'll wait until next summer before I consider making a warranty claim.

Mine fogged up on day one. I haven't noticed it lately but it could be I just need the right foggy type weather for it to happen.

ASR - I took he same view as you when I took delivery of my 09 1125R in Nov 08, I was happy to wait to the second winter to give time for things to settle down, regrettably the condensation issue is far worse this year and my dealer tells me that the new cluster is on order, thanks Buell Moco

John, good to know. Thank goodness the warranty is two years, hopefully they'll still be making the ICs when I need a new one : )

This is very common on HD's and they almost always clear up once they are warmed up, warmer weather. They are vented. This is not covered by warranty on HD's. This is much less common on Buells, they are also vented but vented differently. I've had factory warranty and CNA warranty cover this but if it minor they will clear up on their own.

Big and well documented problem with another Rotax powered bike. My Tuono did the exact same thing- though my CR did not.

has nothing to do with rotax. the clusters arent sealed units so air can circulate through it. with air is moisture so when u have the air inside the unit heat up from sun light u get moisture.

possible fix - pump argon in the cluster and seal the unit with silicone . ud have to drill a hole or two, one for the argon to enter (or any other inert(sp?) gas) and one for the air to leave.

i've had rain for the past month here. 100% humidity. even parked under the carport it is soking wet. last time i rode i noticed that there were actually water droplets under the lens. i guess i should bring it up to the dealer when i bring it in for the 600 mile check up
