Hi Guys, I was thinking to custom the bike What I have in my mind is remove the windshield, headlight. install a performing 1960 style headlight, removing the plastic guard covering the belt area. tail light! and blinkers, they obviously have to go but need to find cool ones. thanks to you guys who posted some pics, about that modification. Maybe trying to find a better fun seat, no idea yet. looking for one! on the other hand, I believe i am running on a old flash. running 25miles/gallon a bit rough, uneven acceleration... and my fuel thank light goes off once in a while ... So if you have any suggestions let me know. One more question, did anyone find a way to increase gas mileage? Poor fuel economy and rough running are some symptoms of the older engine programs, have your dealer connect the bike to the digital technician and update it.  | ||

checkout the ilmberger carbon upper and lowers. twinmotorcycles.nl There are also some non-carbon ones which look good from Frank.de. I was thinking of doing the same! Also check out American Sport Bike - they have a lot of these mods.
I personally like bar end mirrors and flush blinkers. LOTS of options! Tail light - either the 2010 LED tail light about $60 (you'll need to change connectors). OR XBlights $$ (my preference - saving up for one now).
Flash - definitely get the latest from 9/30! which do you have 08 R, 09R/CR? each has it's own flash - they all make a big improvement - especially with surging below 4k rpms, and supposedly some gas mileage improvement. Also the break-in mileage is supposed to get better in case you are still breaking in the engine. Welcome! HTH! rob | ||

Sounds like you'd do better with a CR. Ride it in the rain with and without the fairing on. I bet I know what will happen. Sorry you live in Houston, I escaped 25 years ago... grew up there. Zack Oh BTW, meet Loretta.  | ||

Thanks Guys for your views and more. Zack.. Yep I am in Houston, Sheperd and San Felipe. It is ok for me. I have to say People , here are nice, easy going. But I will def prefer the Ocean and Mountains but then, we will be 10 millions instead of 1.5, and you will have to pay 950K your home, when here, right now for 200k , you get something pretty fun, cool. I am a Real Estate agent and have a wine company, I advise collectors and clients what to buy, where and when! a bit like a financial advisor but all about wine. Any Buell Group here in Houston??? I am an easy rider, no Wheelie, no ego, no nothing. Just fun. I am not even crazy about my bike... but really like it, it is fun! So Hope all is fun and please check crossroads b;lblabla a week ago a guy, with a Japanese bike, saw me passing by, i was going 20/30mph. wanted to catch up, did a wheelie and crashed just ••••••• behind me..WTF.
