Wheels, airbox cover, Firebolt seats and tail plastics, front brake rotor, 08+ rear rotor, fender, front axle, CR and S use same headlight bulbs, and thats about it. I will check the parts book and get the rest of the list (pretty much anything that isn't .1am) |

Air intake temp sensor is off a tuber Belt idler pulley wheel (not bracket) off XB. Passenger footpeg & mounts off XB Hand grips and handle bar switches off a tuber. Firebolt seat lock parts, seats, plastics, keys, ignition module (1125R), airbox cover, fender, fuel cell vent, gas cap, battery rubber securing strap, bank angle sensor, clipon bars and end caps. Oxygen sensor and Idle Air Control off 08+ Firebolt Lightning tail light. Ignition module for CR models. Headlight bulbs for CR. There is quite a number of fasteners, washers, o-rings and other hardware/minor items off various XB, tuber, Blast, and Harley bikes. |

Torx fasteners are not the same. XB=T27 SAE, 1125=T30 Metric. "Hand grips and handle bar switches off a tuber" this true once Buell went to 7/8" bars. IIRC it was 98' on up, maybe 97'. |

Yea there main Torx fasteners are unique to the 1125R from what I remember, but there is a handful of fasteners off various other models. The list above was from a quick skim over the parts book and looking for the non-1125 part numbers. I don't know what tubers the grips are off of, I haven't studied their parts books and model codes yet. |

The XBs are a mix of SAE and metric. From what I have disassembled on the 1125, it seems to be metric. |

I had both my 2009 1125 and 2005 XB9S at a shop (non-HD/Buell) the other day and asked them to swap the wheels. Someone told me that the rear rotors are different and needed to be swapped. The shop tech measured the wheels and told me the offset of the pulleys were different on the rear wheels and said they couldn't be swapped. What gives? Thanks Jeff |

The rotor was changed in 2008 to accommodate the new 1125 caliper. The pulleys need to be swapped too, but will bolt on no issue. |

While we're at it; are there any SAE parts on the 11 or is it all metric? |

I'd HEARD (and question the source) that there were a couple of SAE bits on the 08 models, but after that everything metric... I could be mistaken. |

Thanks Froggy, I was only told the rotor had to be changed, not the pulley as well. Very helpful! Is it true that the rotor/pulley mounting hardware is one-time use only and should be replaced with new fasteners every time? Jeff |

The only SAE fastener I've encountered is a 1/4-20 bolt that holds on the plastic heat dam by the rear head-pipe. The parts book lists several tho. Z |

I just finished making a tail trunk mount for the passenger seat. I can tell you that the hardware holding the seat to the mounting bracket/catch...the thing that holds the seat to the bike, NOT the latch is SAE...1/4-20. I'm sure there are more lurking in there somewhere... |

The airbox cover on the 09 CR does not have the air intake on the front by the gas cap. Is it a problem using th airbox with the vent on the CR? |

It is no issue, it just serves no function |

Froggy's correct. The 1125 sucks air via the snorkel in the front of the airbox and then through the filter. If the airbox was removed or, had holes in it, then the TB's could breathe in filtered air via that gas cap vent too. |

The front brake caliper uses an SAE fastner. |

Also, the passenger peg bolts are SAE... A lot of body work is interchangeable. Seats, of course. hmmm... what else... |
