In the January issue of motorcyclist they have the 1125 CR this month as the top pick for smart money buying. They also have the recalls listed for the bike which were the brake line, which upon checking isn't done on my bike, plus they said 140 Cr's were recalled for rear cylinder cam-chain tensioner guides. Sounds like the plastic shredded off the tensioner and would clog up the oil pump screen which could possibly seize the engine. Was wondering if anyone has the VIN numbers of those bikes affected by this and should be recalled. My bike was one of those hanging up in a Quaker Steak and Lube and I'm sure if it was one of the ones recalled it wouldn't have been done more than likely. |

If your build date is after Oct. 08, then you need not worry about the cam tensioner. What brake line recall? |

"If your build date is after Oct. 08" O.K. guys, the build date on my frame is Sept 08, I only have 308 miles on my bike. Do I have reason to soil my pants at this time? Can anyone tell me if I have one of those bikes with this issue? |

What brake line recall? Before the recall the front brake line ran between the fork tubes. |

Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going off my poor memory. I had to go back and find my old post. Affected bikes were built before Sept. 17, 2008. I found the cam tensioner recall by doing a google search, but can't seem to find it now. Found it. http://www.usrecallnews.com/2008/11/nhtsa-2318.html You people need to start using google, I can't do everything for you. (Message edited by moosestang on December 06, 2009) |

is it date specific? or is it for selected vins PRIOR to OCT '08. So not ALL cr's prior to OCT '08 are affected, just a select few. right? |

Moose, by any chance do you know any good recipes for beef stew? I saw plenty on Google, but was hoping you could narrow it down for me. Sorry, couldn't resist Good luck to all getting the recalls sorted out. It's always comforting to know things are good underneath where you're sitting. Mike |

A quick note here - Any H-D/B, or "H-D only" also I assume, dealerships can run your VIN thru H-Dnet and tell you the status of any recalls your bike is affected by. Log in to H-Dnet Click on "Vehicle Information" Enter VIN Click the "Submit" button Print results/do a screen cap & e-mail it..... There are a few of us here that work for dealers that can do it too. Just ask. Zack |

Often, your bike's warranty info can be found on HD's site. Step 1: Buell.com > Owners > Log in/Register > Step 2 Harley-davidson.com > (should recognize you from the previous link, if not) log in using Buell profile > Owners > Service Checkup |

I just read that article. It said deals could be found on XB12R's for under $5k. If anybody knows where those deals might be, please let me know, I'd be pretty interested for that. My CR has sparked my Buell appetite... |

If they have them under $5k I'd be interested also. I'm giving up on finding the 1125 for close to that, and would be happy with XB. Still debating a used S3T, but I admit to liking new. |
