Well I just picked up the lastest Cycle World. Is this old news here? Nine naked bikes but no Buell 'cause the factory couldn't get one to them in time for their article. They allow, in a side-bar, that it might have done well in the group tested. Seems like a great opportunity wasted. |

seen recently while shopping for a bike in Japan...a 350cc factory Motarded Kawi...I think I'm gonna end up with a 223cc Motarded fatwheel/tired bike that I haven't seen anyplace but Japan. Both Honda and Yamaha make it I know...kwak/suz might as well...it seems to be "the" citybike of choice. |

Saw a guy last week zipping around the roads on one of those motard bikes. The way he was riding he'll be bugsplat before June. It isn't wise to pass a pickup on the right in a right turn in an intersection and have your tire slightly underlap his front bumper overhang. |

Posted this on ATC too.... Howdy all, My XB9S Lightning (2313Mi on the odometer) w/race kit installed (race kit was installed around 500 Miles and yes the TPS was zeroized) is showing some odd symptoms I'm not all that pleased with... Over the last 300 miles or so the thing sputters @ approx 4000RPM when throtteling(moderatly) through the band on up to 5000+ RPM... I'm giving the bike several minutes to warm up before I head-out on a ride... The ambient air temp has been fairly consistant around here for the last several weeks (never really dropping below 55F).... The sputtering goes away after about 5-10 Miles of consistant riding. It also seems to run slightly lean as I get a more pronouncerd popping on decelaration/engine breaking.. I've talked to my dealer's service department and this is the first they've heard of symptoms like these on the new XB9s... (several of the guys at the dealership have XB's and they're all running fine)... Turn 'em on and ride away.... Anyway... the dealer said they would call the factory to see if any other people are reporting similar symptoms.... Intake manifold leak? Bueller..... Bueller.... Bueller... Anyone?...Anyone?

Let's see... Wisconsin Title Fee = $25 State sales Tax = 5% Local sales Tax = 1/2%(max)(depends on county) Loan filing Fee = $4 Plate Fee = $23 (good for 2 yrs) Priority Fee = $4 (better turn around time)

Loki, Thanks for that. By my calculator even if the guy paid full list he should have been out the door for $10,120.00. His opening bid is $8,500.00 with no reserve. I wish him luck. Like they say "There's a sucker born every minute" JT

Loki that all depends where you are in Wisconsin, because if you live in Milwaukee or Milwaukee county we are lucky and get the Brewers stadium tax 5.1% sales tax.Have to pay for that stadium for are baseball team. |

Bads1...What baseball team might that be? The folks in the Milwaukee area are already planning to turn Miller Park into a year round Theme Park and Casino complete with a Giant Water Slide compliments of the leaking roof. Figure the White Elephant should pay for itself in a year or less. |

Dont forget the $3.00 counter fee they charge. Also glad I dont have to pay for that pos stadium. I dont like baseball & unless there is a bike or car show there I will never be in that place. Why pay for something I will never use? Wish Selig would take his crappy team & move, a casino & waterpark would be a hell of a lot better than the sadsack Brewers. |

I haven't been to one of those games since the early 80's.Didn't care for it then nor will I care for it now.Don't like baseball for some reason standing around watching a bunch of over weight jocks that ate to many stadium dogs and cracker jacks chew gum and scratch there nuts ain't my idea of a fun forfilled day in the sun. |

Freyke: no experience with XB9, but intake spitting can indicate lean running/intake leak. Exhaust spitting can (I believe) indicate an exhaust leak. Henrik |

Alright , you gonna tell us what it is , or do we have to guess ? , let's see , there's two holes , they appear to be vertical , well on that table they appear vertical , there looks to be a pair of overhead cams ?? . My guess , .... some sort of top fuel vertical twin engine . Is there a prize for a correct guess ?? |
