I sold my Multistrada early in the year and happily bought a Buell 1125r after the Buell news. I am a very happy camper to own an American sport twin with some spunk and super handling. Even at its old MSRP the Buell is still a bargain for its performance.

I've had 4 or 5 different Ducatis over the last 5 years. My remaining Duc is a 999R. I also sold my 1100S MTS recently only because I have a deal with my wife: no more than two bikes in the garage. That came about as a result of a pretty bad accident I had on my 600RR in 05. 2 years of PT and 4 operations later, I'm back and riding a fantastic 1125CR.

I have an 87 Indiana. Originally a 650, upgraded to 750 (93 Super Sport motor) and now have a DS 1000 motor that I am investigating as to shoehorning it in or not

I keep eyeing an 07 Yellow 1098 myself. Don't own one yet, but have always admired the Ducati bikes.

I've owned three Ducatis, a 907ie purchased new in 1992, another 907 last year (and traded for the Guzzi this spring), and a 2007 M S4R that I sold in September. The 907 was fabulous (when new) but I was less happy last year with 1992 electrics! The Monster was outrageously fast, but the chassis wasn't a good match. I'm very happy with my 1125R.

I've got an '07 Multistrada 1100S, my fifth Ducati. I'll likely always have one, they're great fun and I'm fortunate to have a really good dealer.

2005 ST4S here. 2009 1125CR and 2006 Uly. CBX's take up most of the rest of the garage.

I currently have an '06 S2R 800 Monster. I love the Duc, but couldn't pass up the bargain price on the 1125CR. Duc is now for sale only because I don't need two bikes that essentially do the same thing.

Couple of Monster 750's and a GT 1000... got tired of the light flywheel/low rpm "shudder"- that's why they're gone. When your first performance bike has a 1203, it tends to jaundice your experiences with "lesser" motors.

I have a 2005 Monster S4R. I traded an XB12SS for it back a couple of years ago. I wanted to get an 1125CR but just could not do it.

I built a rising rate monoshock 974cc over bored/stroked twin plug head, big valve, kickstart only, straight cut primary drive, mech anti dive 16 inch front wheel bike back in 1986, based on the Tecfar chassis from Spain, all just to improve access to the rear pot for valve checking but I got a little carried away. It used to nearly break my leg staring it up, clutch was very heavy due to the extra work done on it but I loved that bike.

Sold it when I got married - big mistake on both counts but after sevral Buells the 1125R has my heart

Prior to my current Buell streak (XB9 then XB12R then XB12STT and now 1125R):
99 750ss
98 ST2

Both if these were great bikes in their own way. I bought the 99 750ss brand new. It had a reasonable amount of power for me at the time, terrific sound and I loved the handling. Still think is is one of the best balanced bikes I've ever owned.

Ducatis owned:
2001 900ss, traded for ST4
2001 yellow ST4
2003 red 999

I love my Ducatis, and will always own one. I volunteer for Ducati at the races and have known the hospitality and marketing folks for years. They are good friends, as are those in the US Desmo club. I've had many great adventures on Ducs, including riding the MotoGiro in Italy. So for me it's the sound, the design, the culture, the feeling I get riding them, and their passion for racing.

But Buell was my first real street ride after many years of motocross, so I'll always consider it special. I;ve owned a 97 Cyclone, '00 Thunderbolt, and now two 1125s. I have to say that as soon as I sold my Cylone and was "Buell-less", I wanted another right away.
By contrast, I like my Victory Kingpin cruiser a lot and consider it head and shoulders above H-D in looks and design, but it's not compelling that I always have the brand.

Always loved the Ducatis since the 916. When buying my first bike 3 years ago the Monster S4R was on the short list with the XB12Ss(first year for the Ss). Ended up with the Buell thinking the wife would ride with me.

One month later bought the wife a new 2006 Monster.

My next bike was going to be a new 1198 before the Buell's were discontinued so ended up getting a new 1125CR instead.

So now the count is 2 Buell's and 1 Ducati, gonna have to do something about that. : )

I put down a deposit on a 2010 Multistrada 1200S Touring right after they announced the bike, I should be a proud Ducati rider by the end of April. The Multistrada will be a good companion for my Uly and 1125CR.
