anyone know what size AN fitting the ports are on an XB oil cooler?

They are not AN spec fittings. AN have 37 degree flares and the XB oil coolers use 45 degree flares.

I've been curious about this too. If the flair angle is not a universal type of some kind, all a person would have to do is to have some very quick and cheap machine work gone to an existing flairing tool in order to start a business now that they ended Buell.

I believe 45 degree is pretty standard stuff.

ANY Good Hydraulic shop should have all you need.

We carried 37 & 45 deg stuff in stock at all times. We even had conversion links.

buell=45 deg (standard fittings) see http://www.aeroquip.com for fittings and ect. then find a dealer near you.

back to this topic. I have not had a chance to make it to a hydraulic shop yet due to my new job, so I have been searching around on line to try and order something.

I used teflon hose and fittings from Aeroquip..

JIC fittings have a 37 degree flare. SAE fittings have a 45 degree flare. Each fitting type uses a metal to metal sealing surface.

Occasionally these fittings leak or weep do to minor scratches, knicks or other imperfections. You can easily and cheaply seal these fittings with a FlareTite fitting seal, (www.flaretite.com). Most hydraulic shops carry fitting seals.
