I was hoping you weren't gonna be a hot-head like Shazam, cause you know he would of had something to prove on his first real outing See you fellows at the Other place tomorrow around 6-7 off of Metcalf in DT Overland Park!

Ok, this is off topic but I couldn't resist. Check out my picture from the storm on Sunday. We had to get under that stair case and shut off the gas meter. (Message edited by usapitbullz on May 07, 2003) |

Motorcycle Stuff is the distributor for Teknic stuff now since Parts Unlimited dropped them. Same company as Custom Chrome. Did you try them? Still working on getting the form for the track day to you in an email that will work. If I can't get it to work tomorrow just send me the $$ made out to HD/Buell Cycle Center and I'll fill out a form for you. Ride to the edge! Hippie Dave |

Keith are you referring to the Ralph Wayne Backyard Nationals, don't worry there is plenty of time. It's usually the end of Sept.

Richie, So far There are 4 of us confirmed for the rally. Sam, Frank, Ben and myself. Paul is a probable (spoke with him the other day and he is seeing if Jenn is off for the weekend also). Josh moved his status up to a possible for the saturday ride and maybe the friday night flattrack races. (depends on which weekend his house guests arrive.) Dave unfortunately will not make it due to a family reunion in champaign that same weekend. No decision has yet been reached by; Bob, John, Daves, Ralph or the rest of the KC contingent. (though I've been working on them) The availability at my house is; I have two guest bedrooms. one has a double bed and the other has a queen size. I have 4 cots that can be moved into any of these rooms as people find the need or want. I also have 1 couch available. I think Frank and Sam allready claimed one of the beds to share! If space is needed, Ben mentioned that he has family in Quincy and that he would be willing to stay there. Everything as far as accommodations is up in the air at this point. Trying to see who is all coming and put it all together. If you are inquiring about hotel openings, I really have no idea at this point. As of 2 weeks ago, there were 1500 registered for the event. I believe they are expecting in 5000 bikes or more. I don't know of any other event in Quincy that weekend, but they will fill fast with that type of attendence. Richie, my best guess would be that the hotel availability will be the same as it was in the past for the skydivers convention. we are probably talking about the same amount of people in town for both events. If you are interested in a hotel room, let me know soon. I may be able to get you a better rate. At this point, I have 4 tickets to the flattrack races. (though there is a possible upgrade in the works.) I figured we would see how many are here and if we need to pick up a few more we would split the cost among all. example; 5 people show up, each person kicks in $3 to purchase the extra ticket. 8 people would = $7.50 each. normal price is $15. I also have been promised 10 to 12 tickets for the Street Party on the riverfront. (my best friend runs the convention and visitors center, so these tickets are no problem.) I have also scheduled a ride on some of NE MO's better backroads for saturday. If ANYONE needs anymore info, feel free to email me or call me at 217-222-2412. Keith p.s Richie, I might be able to get you a spot to camp near the tarmac if you want!. (Message edited by gravedigger on May 08, 2003) |

Keith, and any thinking of heading to Quincy, I think I mentioned it before but there is Wakonda State Park on the MO side, about 10 minutes from Keith and all the events. The web site is http://www.mostateparks.com/wakonda/rentalrvs.htm I really have to say that the ride itself is more than worth the effort to get there. Ben |
