Last night 2 brothers were riding their bikes to a winter storage facility. One brother took is bike into a cable guard rail at a reported 140 MPH...His leg was sawed off plus brain matter ozing out of his jello like skull. My crew couldnt revive him. Its something to see a Moms reaction on an interstate at 0300 when a Trooper tells her what happened. Think.

I couldnt either...It was a IL4. I normally dont take pics of that sort of thing, but that front wheel was facinating. The rest of the bike was damn near vaporized |

You know, it's hard to decipher tone when reading posts on the internet, but yours comes across as morbid exhilaration. I hope that's not the case. |

Snakedriver, I flew fix wing EMS out of Denver. Everything was a little more sorted-out by the time the patients got onboard. You guys are on the front line there. As for tone, I didn't pick-up anything but concern. Like you said....think. -Roadrash1 |

My thought on posting that pic was just to present an outcome that most of us, including me, believe will happen to the other guy. The scene on the Highway was a simple tragedy. Its a surreal experience to look through the Ambulance window and see the crew working on a pat.(CPR-needles-difibulator) while behind me the Troopers are talking to the family. With that said, most EMS folks, like Servicemen, and Police tend to laugh at things most people wouldnt laugh at, again, including me. However, there is sometimes things touch close to the heart. 2 years or so ago a 4ish year old ask my medic if he was going to be able to her Mommys head back on...No laughing on that one. Now, the guy that falls of the roof with a chainsaw,a Git R Done base ball cap and a PBR...Well You know... Dont worry Wolffy, Im always safe. Im too lazy to do all the paper work if something not so good happens! Janette was home asleep...I thinkg. There arent any Interstates where she lives!
