Its all good Mike, after I received your message we headed north towards Pilot mountain. They had every one stopped at the bottom. Apperantly the whole state of NC wanted to get up there yesterday! So we took off and headed east on some unknown roads also. Turned out to be much fun. Landed on 66, NICE VERY NICE! We knew it was a good road when a Black and Gold Firebolt passed followed by a KTM Motard! Took us to Hangin Rock State Park.
As you can see there is nothing to keep you from steping off the edge!
As good as your MC boots are, they suck at hiking up the side of a mountain, or in my case back down the mountain. Tripped 8 feet from the edge, instinct took over and I rolled in the air and landed on a rock during the roll. Bruised my thigh up pretty bad. Wasn't that bad till we got on the road back and then the pain started. It was a cold ride back from that area at 8:00 at night! |

Carlos and I got in a short loop yesterday. The weather was perfect! He had to have the Uly inspected so I could renew his tags. While at Shelton's I sat on a Scg, can't reach. Sat on a Nightster, could flat foot it...just not my style of bike. Going to sit on every bike I might have the potential of reaching on at IMS. Gotta start working on a sitter for the little children. |

Jim, Love the road to Hanging Rock. I just wish they would resurface the road. The uneven pavement makes you really pay attention. But the residents along there probably like it just the way it is. Very nice pictures from the park. 'll have to check out more of the trails next time I go out there. |

I believe there were only 2 Buell in the crowd. Excuse Me there were 3 of us together, and an un identified 4th buell we never encountered the rider, Blubb blubb on Smurfette, Dont worry about having Blue balls it has nothing to do with smurfette, you know in her former life she was a smhooker? I thought that "smurf" was the sound they made if you stepped on them... |

Recently, every time I've gone down I-40, from Raleigh to RTP, there have been at least 3 LEOs with cars pulled writing tickets. I saw how they were doing it yesterday. They have officers on an overpass running radar, who apparently radio their findings to patrol cars stationed at the top of one of the exits. Scary efficient. |

That is a crackdown on speeders happening on most 4 lane roads here in the triangle. I think it goes until the 29th. |

It works. I drive slower. I know they like to patrol that stretch of 440 south of Raleigh too. I haven't seen as many out there though. |

My wife called me at work this AM with a funny story. She asked me where I was at and when I told her, she laughed and said I have a twin. We just bought a home in the Cardinal in G'boro NC. When she was going home from bring the kids to school, she saw a guy on a translucent red XB12Ss, same build as me, plus size. Same black HD helmet with the eagle, black mesh jacket, and jeans. She felt compelled to call me to see if I was actually at work. File under "It is a Small World." |

I went looking for the Moto Guzzi dealer in Burlington. They seem to be gone, but the sign alone was worth the trip.

The memorial service for Matt Britt was held on Saturday. Dual sites. Greensboro and Atlanta. I learned a few things about Matt that only helped to reinforce the opinion I had developed in the short time I knew him. I also confirmed that the world is missing one bright soul now. He was 22 years old. His family extends thanks to everyone who prayed for him and the family.

Happy 11/25 day! Or should I say 1125 day? I must say that an 1125 powered Buell is a VERY, VERY, VERY wonderful machine! I still love the simplicity of the air-cooled twins before it, but there's just something amazing about the 1125 powerplant. Hey, someone had to wake up the C3 section, no? 1313 |

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Sorry I got something stuck in my head: Why do you build me up (Build me up) Buttercup baby just to let me down (Let me down) And mess me around And then worst of all (Worst of all) You never call baby When you say you will (Say you will) But I love you still I need you (I need you) More than anyone darlin' You know that I have from the start So build me up (Build me up) Buttercup Don't break my heart I'll be over at ten You tell me time and again But you're late I wait around and then I went to the door I can't take any more It's not you You let me down again Baby Baby Try to find a little time And I'll make you happy I'll be home I'll be waiting beside the phone Waiting for you. Why do you build me up.... To you I'm a toy But I could be the boy You adore If you'd just let me know Although you're untrue I'm attracted to you All the more Why do I need you so Baby Baby..... ooh ooh ooh Why do build me up ..... It was in my helmet the entire ride back from Chez Suarez's (M2nc & Ulywife) Turkey Day Feast!!! Why do you build me up... 1313 |

What a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday. It was great having some of our C3 family here to share the holiday with. Black Friday was my day to shop! Mom, Carlee and I were actually home in record time this year. I came home to Webe, Oldog and M2nc working on the shock on the M2! Hopefully the M2 is going to roll again very soon!!! Thanks again Oldog for bringing all the goodies to rebuild the old shock...I'll let Carlos tell the rest of the story. Webe and M2nc are out on a toy run today terrorizing the cruisers. They are both on the wife's Blasts! I hope I don't have to bail them out of jail when they can't resist the blaablaablaa. Of course, I've come home and Oldog has taught Luke how to hold his "handlebars" and say "blaablaablaa"! His next visit to the dealership should be interesting! |

Sunny morning. But the roads were still wet and 32 degrees. Not exactly ideal for two wheeling it to work. But that doesn't mean I can swap vehicles at lunch time. |
