I purchased my used 2008 XB12XT three days after the announcement that Buell was shutting down. 8600 miles, all three boxes and $5700 otd. A couple weeks later I take off on a 1300 mile trip. 20 miles from home, I hear horrible engine sounds, like tappets being out of adjustment and the oil pressure light comes on. Towed in to Corona HD-Buell. It takes 10 days for the engine to be torn down at the direction of the factory- metal shavings everywhere. Another call to the factory- button up the motor! Buell put a brand new motor on a truck that day! I was shocked to hear how easy the problem was resolved. Can't wait to get it back! And I love the way the bike handles! Very easy to ride and very comfortable. |

Good for you. My last bike was a 2007 Sportster XL883R. The only problem I had was the speedo leaking in water. There was staining on the back side of the glass, it was all fogged up... but it was like pulling teeth trying to get them to replace it. It took 3 or 4 times of me dropping the bike off and complaining before they finally replaced it. |
