Excellent suggestion from a veteran racer. Danny is a class act and a nice young man. |

RMR's FIRST OBLIGATION is to his sponsors - primarily Geico. To beat him up after witnessing RMR racing Buells for-freaking-ever - is just silliness. Geico is paying for EXPOSURE that racing can bring. RMR has stated their position (and regrets) elsewhere. They are a RACING organization first and foremost and this whole thing was just bad timing. We ALL wish RMR the best in the coming year. RMR has done more to carry the Buell flag in the past few years than anybody. |

Court, Thank you for supporting Danny and RMR during this switch over. I really hope to see great things out of Erik Buell Racing. They will always have the best of wishes from the Canadian Eslick. I hope things explode for him in the coming year. I should be back down to Kohler next September, and I hope to see what Erik has been up to and maybe get to shake his hand. Go Buell racing!! |

RMR pulled off a huge feat this year, they took a bike with great unrealized potential, and played to it's strengths and executed well, and put it on the podium in its rookie season. Nothing short of amazing. The appropriate response was for Harley Davidson, who spent fortunes trying and failing to stand on that podium, to knock on the door with the "you rock" contract that means that for the next three seasons RMR can focus on racing, not fund raising, though with a lot of appearances at Harley dealers and rock concerts. They couldn't have asked for a better team or a better representative. It should have been an easy sell... Danny is perfect for the 1125, and RMR chose Buell when it was an unknown. Harley, true to form, had a 5 star dinner put in front of them on a silver platter, and threw it on the ground because they didn't see ketchup, and everything they make has ketchup on it. I don't blame RMR or Danny Eslick for riding a Suzuki next year, I do blame Harley Davidson. They scared up enough money to hire a "spokesmodel", but couldn't find the coin to support a race effort. Just another massive ego driven &^%&-up. |
