Been wanting to do this ever since I removed my mirrors. $16 shipped on ebay for these LED strips. There are better more expensive options, but these are cheap, thin and damn near invisible until they light up. I might put them on the other side of the pod vent so they are move visible during the day.

Damn you, I am going to have to put red ones in mine now. (Not as a turn signal, obviously.) |

Here's some short videos. I'm not to concerned about the side view since I have flush mount LED signals next to the headlight, but you can still see it at night shining off the pod. The head on view is what I was hoping for and it works great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8WytXV5pK8 I used the windscreen to block the headlight in this video, so ignore the red glow on the bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrpF-JetsPs |

Beautiful, do you got a link to the kit you used? Edit: I mean the lights are beautiful, not you (Message edited by froggy on November 25, 2009) |

I'll do a daylight video tomorrow. These are the lights. It'd be nice if they had twice as many LED's, but then they'd be to much for my cheap butt. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=400084349131 |

Cool. Since you already have directionals I think they would look cooler as running lights. |

Here's a daylight video, but it wasn't high noon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1bBK1xIJSU Notice that the flash rate is back to normal. I guess having both wired to the same circuit is pulling enough juice to act like a standard bulb. |

Effin neat idea Art. There's a lot of room to play with there. I see a winter playground. Yellow or white is good maybe even green, blue or red is BAD. LEDs and HIDs will replace incandescents soon. Zack |

Look'n good! You could really increase your visiability by turning those lights into running/ turn signals with a relay. That way they will be on while you are riding and flash off for turn signals. Any extra lights are always good. Time4breakfast Neil S. |

That is a sweet mod. I was thinking about just making mine glow, but I really like the extra visibility. |

Take a look here: http://www.chromeglow.com/catalog.asp?prodid=52065 7 Might be an easier way to get both running and turn signals. |
