Fellows, I'm new to this Buell thing. Got 09 1125 CR. Surge City. Looking for a 152 Flash. At the dealer twice now and they Don't know nothing and don't even suspect nothing. Had the 620 mile service. They insisted on Dyno 20W50 as the synthetic stuff would blow thru the air breather and mess up the clutch. They did find a crack in the front tire and replaced it for free. How can I get them to "find the CODE 152." They searched HD NET and by vin but nothing. They did admit they don't see many of those Buells in here. This was Shreveport Harley in La. If anyone has an idea on how to turn on the light, please let me know. We are Dumb and Dumber here in Shreveport. |

The only way they can check is to take the Digital Technician computer and plug it into your bike. |

Where ya at? we have it at my dealer along with the 08 flash? If anyone in or around Illinois I can get it done for you. These aren't chargable flashes meaning if some dealer tries to make you pay for it tell them where to shove it! I'm a Tech here at Legacy HD Effingham IL Dustin |

if anyone has half a clue about working the digital tech they should be able to tell you what calibration is in your bike and check for new calibrations. that is terrible. |

This website has one thing going for it if nothing else, Repetition... IF the archives don't help...and the dealership won't help...try customer service and if that doesn't help? Go deeper in contacts...but posting on forums has proven not so great in resolve. FWIW...so don't flame little old me! |

I've learned a lot being on this website! Most of it's good. Some things not so good! |

I had to keep emailing different dealers until I found one that would listen. I explained the situation via email and used terms found on this site by actual techs. I'll be getting the 152 flash done on Friday, fingers crossed. The dealer apparently downloaded the flash without my bike present, so I don't think it's as simple as hooking up your bike and the digital technician finding the new flash. |

Yes the flash has to be downloaded from HD to the Digital Tech computer, but that should happen automatically from my understanding. |

all they have to do is check what flash is in your bike then go to the reflash tab and it will show the latest reflash. if they are different... download the latest. same as doing a reflash on any bike. i'd be worried if they dont know how to do that |

Froggy your right the DT has to be authorized on a regular basis and when that is done any new flash or in for the DT is renewed. But if im not mistaken the when we go to the reflash screen the DT links up to the network and check for the flashes then. And doesn't have to have been a Buell dealer we wern't and we still have access to that kind of stuff on the DT |

Thanks for the replies. My dealer seemed willing to help but just didn't know how. I will print this out and hopefully get a 152 flash. I'm not looking to flame anyone, just wanting the surge to go away. These replies were a big help, thanks! |
