Hi!

I have USB To TTL cable and now I want to connect cable to my 1125R.

But there is a problem. 1125R ECM connector is 2-way connector. How I should connect it to my TTL unit?

In older Buells there is 3-way connector(ECM R, ECM T and the ground)

I think that there is no ground at all in 1125R connector, only ECM Receive and ECM Transmit. Where I get the ground?

Here is pic from the connector.

The connecter is located under the front left pod. It is the same connector on my 1125R as on my 12R.

Are you sure you are at the right connector.

It should be a 4 pin female deutsch connector with a rubber plug in it.
The picture you posted looks like the denoid plug located under the front of the seat.

Thanks for reply.

I am not sure that am I in the right connector, but what I found under the left pod was the same connector (female) which picture I linked before, near the ECM.

I have 2008 1125R US model.

I waited also 4-pin female Deutsch connector but I suprised when I found different connector what I except.

Is it possible that under the left pod there is two different connectors?

why do i have a resistor plug in there?

btw: i bought this machine up and running, but will now be modified into something slightly different.

the original-owner sold me the bike with a race-setup (denoided) and now i find my machine with a resistor plug in the ecm-spy plug...

anybody an idea?

click

this is another plug, right, it's not the ecm-interface-cable...

Can somebody confirm what is the connector in Cherry_bomb picture?

I really belive that the connector in Cherry_bombs picture was ECM-interface-connector... Not anymore.

you are correct. That is NOT the plug you want. I believe that plug is for a diagnostic purpose, but NOT the one you want to use. The photos by Poppinsxz is the one you want.

That is the CAN bus plug, and yes it is terminated by a resistor at the factory.

The grey plug in "Poppin's" picture IS....the correct plug it you want to tap into the ECM.
It also IS a three wire (four wire plug) connection.

There should a plastic "holder" up under the frame that holds the plug under normal circumstances.

I don not know what the plug near the ECM is. But it ISN'T the ECM connection.

Good call Pash,

That one has to have the resistor in order for the datalink to work.

If fact there should be two of them, although I don't know where the other one is located.

That one goes to the sidestand switch which is not included on US models.

Yes there is a two pin connector on the outboard side of the left pod by the ECM. The ECM datalink connector is four pin and it is on the inboard side of the left pod. THere actually is a groove for it to rest in and be kept out of the way.
