If so, what tire pressure are you happy with on the street? I'm not sure if I should run the Buell/Pirelli psi or if there is a better psi for the Dunlops. | ||

pressure would depend on the level of wear/grip you desire. Less PSI like 28/26 should give good grip and quick warm up but it will wear faster. for the street I would go with 35/38, but that is just my $0.02. Im a heavier rider and don't need track like grip on the street. | ||

if all else fails contact Dunlop and they can give you the recommended tire pressure for both the street and the track. | ||

I have SPORTMAX QUALIFER's. Do not know about Q2s', but with 34F/36R seems comfortable for Florida street riding. DUNLOP will give good info as posted above. Web is mostly for BS.... | ||

Jaimec - Not too bad a rule of thumb. For a race tire, I'd be checking temperatures also. Strange that someone actually understands that tires and suspensions work for a given style and weight.... NOT...what works for the guys at Sport Rider or some other magazine. Using a one for all pressure...will NOT get you the best working tire...for "YOU". Mike | ||

Sorry, but after D207 and D208s on my Firebolt, I will NEVER put a Dunlop on my Buell again. They are fine for Harleys. I'll stick with Pirelli or Metzler. literally Zack | ||

tyre pressures like suspension settings are dependent on personal riding style so I would politely suggest that you need to experiment in a logical fashion. I like going up and down the same deserted twisty road in the mountains of Wales close to where I live in th UK, making adjustments and going over the same 3 or 4 mile length of the road until I find my optimum setting - trust your own judgement and you will be rewarded. | ||

I find that odd since they've been the defacto standard in AMA Superbikes for YEARS. But I know from experience that the best thing I ever did with my M2 Cyclone was replace the stock Dunlops with Metzelers. Still, many years ago OEM Bridgestone tires SUCKED, and now they're considered a premium brand... so maybe Dunlop has improved as well? It's been YEARS since I've tried them. | ||

Dunlop seems to make there money with cruisers now, Michelin and Metzler/Pirelli make the better sport tires now. | ||

Gee avJOE...just got back from 650+mi weekend riding- last 250+ in rain. My DUNLOPS worked JUST FINE... guess I do not know how to RIDE....glad I can find all this out on de interweb.... |
