i'd like to swap sprockets and belts from an 1125CR for those off my 1125R. i bought mine 10/16 and am at 800 miles of smiles, and counting. i priced out the sprocket at $119.00, and the belt at $148.75 new from the dealer. so a deposit of $267.75 can me held if you can't have any down-time. also a VIN exchange would be good so we can get the speedo's re-flashed with the right math so it indicates actual speed. this VIN exchange would only be for dealership records on ECM re-flashes NO: funny-business bamboozling swindling backstabbing or ESPECIALLY buddy-effing please let me know if you are interested and LET'S MAKE A DEAL!!! |

Ummm, you'll need to swap swingarms as well. |

You also need to change the swing arms and the tensioner, I believe, to fully swap the pertinent bits from CR-R gearing. |

I am 100% sure swingarms are different. |

Yep CR is in debate as to how much longer have heard from 5mm to 15mm but it is longer for sure. Now havent looked into it but is there any adjustment in the tensioner, 1/4 inch isnt that much difference |

The rear pulley is different too. 76T vs 70T. Front sprocket is the same. |

No spec was given but it has been in print in several publications that the swing arm was longer on the CR because of the gearing |

I would have to be longer because there is a difference of 6 teeth in the rear pulley. There is a difference of 4 teeth (IIRC) in the belt. That leaves 2 teeth worth (at 14mm each) that has to be compensated for somewhere. |

I have both an R and a CR. I measured side by side and if memory serves correct there was about 1/4" difference. The exact amount is not critical, the bottom line is they were different. ac |

Wheelbase R = 54.1 in. (1,374 mm) Wheelbase CR = 54.5 in. (1,384 mm) |

The different length is needed for correct belt geometry. They are different. And "swapping VINs" with someone isn't going to help you with the flashes - I'm pretty sure the VIN is stored in the ECM and the Digital Technicial won't allow you to load a flash for a different model. |

Nillaice, Steve Mackay is correct, you will have to change the swingarm. I just bought what I believe is the first 1125R to have the CR conversion done to it. Just bought the bike yesterday. We (Hal's) did the conversion for the previous owner at our shop this summer. By the way, there is currently no calibration for the speedo to correct the change. My speedo is off by 6 mph. I do know that Tech Services has been trying to get a new calibration done but have had other priorities since H-D's announcement. If you have any question give me a call at Hal's, 262-814-8685.
