It all depends on what you want for performance, looks, clearance and sound. Not to mention $$. In no particular order; Torque Hammer - ? I have no idea what the xchange rate is right now. Well documented pipe, good power gains with a tune. HPE - ? not a lot of info that I've seen. HMF - $500-600? never really looked at these much, don't know a lot. FMF Ti full system - $2700 very nice, but pricey. FMF SS full system - $1800? not sure here, I guess it's the same as the Ti pipe, just in stainless. FMF slipon CF pipe/can $550 or so Drummer - $1100 very well built pipe, good name behind/on it. Supposed to be semi-loud. Free Spirits - $? dunno what it's going for, maybe $1200 or so? Looks pretty good. No dyno runs shown on this one yet. I'm a cheap bastige though, I hate spending a lot of $$. D&D slipon $700 the extra loud pipe Jardine CF $600 similar to D&D for sound. not as harsh though. Jardine Aluminum $400 I haven't heard one of these either, maybe a bit more "tinny" sounding? Stock pipe - leave it as is and tune for power? Stock pipe modified - same as above, it's been pretty well documented on how to do it for sound/flow/looks. A monkey could do this mod, provided that the monkey can weld. I am a well trained monkey. There are quite a few others out there, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. |

I'll post some dyno runs with my HPE as soon as I get it to a shop that has one. SOTP and roll-ons vs a friends R1 indicates a significant edge in top end power though. For the price I'd say the FMF is top dog right now... |

If you are looking for the best performance, any of the full systems will be best. The Buell Race Pipe has been the best for power, but is kind of heavy. The FMF TI and SS pipes are the same geometry, just different materials. They make similar power to the Buell pipe, but roll over a bit faster after peak power. The Termi pipe makes the best peak power, but is very poor below 8000RPM. If you are just looking for noise, then buy whatever slip-on looks/sounds best to you. The slip-ons shorten the exhaust too much to make much more power than the stock exhaust. |

I agree with Strong, whatever one you like, that is all that matters. |
