Hey Guys, I got my bike reflashed on Wednesday with the latest reflash. After the 30 mile trip home I checked the Diag. Mode which showed about 5-6 error codes. Examples- ECM, Sidestand just to name a few. Is this common after a reflash? I called the dealer, they were unsure but said to ride more to see if that will clear them out if not to bring it back. The bike seems to run OK but is this something to worry about? Is there any way for me to clear the codes also? Thanks. |

They probably drained the battery while performing the flash. Low voltage can be the cause. Just an opinion. |

Need the error codes posted. This might be a larger problem. |

Chuckc, I just had my 09 1125R reflashed today. Now it shows error codes for the ECM (no numbers displayed), Fuel PR SYS, and about 3 others. The check engine light now illuminates a few seconds after startup, but then goes out about 3 seconds later. Otherwise the bike seems to run just fine. I'm going to let it go for a while to see if they go away. Let us know what yours does. Low voltage is definitely not the cause. My battery is showing 12.2V; I also waited for only an hour while they did the reflash, and the bike was in sight the whole time. They didn't hook it up to any battery charger before giving it back to me. (Message edited by ron_luning on November 21, 2009) |

Ron_luning this is exactly what mine is doing. Check engine light and all. More than likely same error codes also. I agree that low voltage is definitely not the cause. Keep us up on your bike as well. thank. |

I just had the flash done a week ago. Same thing a bunch of errors after. The problem "SHOULD" be resolved now. A "resistor" was changed and now no more errors. It looked like a relay to me. A little black square that plugs in. The buell tech told me that since the 062 flash he has gotten a few come back with the same issue and the resistor seems to fix them. I asked why a flash would cause a resistor to go bad. He had no answer. So for know it's ride it and if I start getting errors again they will replace the ECM. Hope that helps |

Just had mine reflashed today to 062. Rode home everything was fine, about 30 miles. Pulled it into the garage and Dean calls me and asks me to check for error codes... This is what I found. P ECM ERROR P0122 TPS SYS ERROR P0192 FUEL SYS ERROR P1151 TIPOVER SYS ERROR P0112 IAT SYS ERROR P2229 BARO SYS ERROR When I brought it in this morning, there weren't any codes. Don't get me wrong, the bike runs fine, the voltage is good to go. Not sure what is causing this. |

Bigblock352, can you either tell us, or take a photo showing where this electrical component is located? |

All, From a reliable source: "Ron, regarding the error codes with the latest dealer flash I was at the dealer today and we flashed about 6 or 7 bikes, they all end up with error codes after the flash. The tech doing the flash has to clear the trouble codes after the flash - it instructs you to do so on the DT-II screen They just are not used to doing it - something changed with the DT-II software that requires this extra step after a flash. The dealer tech i worked with today says it is something new, and their DT-II support said to just clear the codes after a flash. |

You can clear the codes using ecmspy. All you need is a cable. |

How did you reflash it yourself? |

He used Harry Potter's magic wand and reflashing spell. Flashimus, Maximus! He prolly works for HD, owns a Buell, and did it himself in shop. I am guessing all of this by his screen name though. |

How do you use ECMspy to clear the codes? I've only used it to fetch the EPROM data. |

There is an option to clear trouble codes under the trouble codes tab. Not sure if you need to click read first or not, but it worked on my bike. |

Every time I re-flash an 11 there are error codes that I have to go back and clear, just seems to be something that happens during a flash. They come in clear, get e flash, and then there are codes. Never had a running issue with mine, just a lack of rechecking by the tech. It does say at the end of the re-flash, Turn of the ign. for 10 sec. turn it back on and check for any codes that should be cleared |
