I wanted to start by saying thanks for all of the support Danny and I have received on this website. After much thought and consideration...RMR and GEICO have decided it best to not race a bike that is no longer in production. As of yesterday we decided to team with Suzuki for 2010. We are very proud of what was accomplished by many people this past championship season and I would like to thank them all for a job well done. I invite you all to follow us in the future. And best wishes to all of my friends that worked at BMC. Richie |

Still grateful to RMR for standing by Buell while they could. Eslick and RMR will always be part of our family. |

Good luck next season, and like I said before you guys are BadWebers for life. Once a bueller always a bueller. Please stick around here and keep us in the loop. Personally, I'm excited to see how people react when you guys repeat on a different bike. |

Thanks for the support RMR. I'll continue to be a fan. No whining about the 1125R displacement advantage though |

Boy talk about bad timing. You announce that you re-sign Eslick then on the same day HD pulls the plug on Buell. Now you announce you will be racing the gsxr and HD announces Erik will be providing support through Erik Buell Racing on the same day. Good luck next season. I will still be cheering for you guys next year. |

Thanks again from Danny and I! Hopefully everyone understands it was out of our control. To answer Macdiver's question....I think the October release was coincidental. As I said before...RMR wishes everyone who worked at BMC good luck in future endeavors. I have been getting emails from folks waiting on championship shirts. As you know I have been traveling constantly working on 2010. I have several left and the ones on order will ship Monday. |

Sounds more like a Geico decision than rmr. I do appreciate their efforts to put Buell in the winners circle, but I hope Eric Buell Racing whip's their ass next year. What is DMG going to do for eligability of these bike . Are they gonna let them continue to race daytona sportbike, can they race the rr or will they build more rr's just for superbike and make the parts readily available. Lots of questions still remain |

Lots of questions still remain These questions are probably a big part of the reason this decision was made. Lets say rmr wanted to run the Buell again next year, then a few months from now AMA said they couldn't. They'd really be behind the 8 ball to figure out a deal with a new manufacturer, then figure out the new bike. Doing the deal now gives them plenty of time set up the new bike and test and tune. Let's keep in mind that RMR had no intention of leaving Buell. HD pulled the rug out from under them just like us. One could argue that RMR and the other pro racers were bigger victims than us, since they make their livelihood with motorcycles. |

Yea, I get the decision just wished to see Eslick on a Buell again, and racing in superbike. Eric must know something we don't in re: to racing eligability. I think AMA racing is going to be key to his success. |

Unless Eric Buell Racing produces street bikes then I don't see his bikes being in the AMA. As for Danny and RMR, they had no choice. Plus, the GSXR is a great bike. I would love to see him on a Buell, but I also just want to see him and Richie win. |

The Buells are absolutely legal in AMA DSB and Superbike for next season. This is a fact. Danny and RMR did have a choice, and it was their right to make it. They chose Suzuki. We wish Danny the best; he's a nice kid and one heck of a racer. |

Geico is just like Harley. Stuffed shirts in blue suits. The Buells are legal, and they had a popular national Champ. Then they come out with some Pelosi about current bikes. Ain't buying it. I hope Geico loses every darn race. Nothing against Danny of course. There, I said it. |

Wow Gentleman, that is harsh. RMR is a business and as such they need to listen to their sponsors. Danny and RMR worked hard to put the Buell on top. It isn't RMR or Geico's fault that HD pulled the plug. So how about we support the one privateer team out there that was able to stick it to the factories. My my, some in the Buell family sure are fickle. |

and rightfully so? It goes both ways in my book. Buell also gave RMR AND Danny THEIR 1st AMA championship. We shall see. BUT I do understand their decision. Doesn't mean we have to like/agree with it. |

Of course they aren't going to run a Buell. #1 No factory contingency money (minor). #2 How can they justify putting another year of time and money into developing a race bike that will not apply to another make for the following year (not knowing if there will be a Buell or not). |

Exactly. Daytona Sport Bike isn't vintage racing. |

2010 model year bikes aren't vintage bikes. A rather stupid comparison. |

And I'm with GJ. I wish them the best, but if there is a Buell in there, I hope the Buell team kicks their @ss. This a Buell site after all. |

Thanks RMR and Danny for helping Buell get the win. They had A choice to make. Call it A bussiness decision and they made it. Best of luck and sorry but BMC will be kicking your collective @$$ers next season. |
