Yeah, I finally broke down and scratched the itch, picked up a new TTRL. We won't be ready for action this weekend but I'll be at Pat's Acres taking more notes. If the master plan comes together I'll be ready for a June race. I have all the pictures including "the crash" from the last race, I'll put them on a CD and bring them with me.

Speaking of June events, a Thunder Cross event is scheduled at Destination Buell and H-D in Tigard on Saturday the 7th. Mark your calenders. I'll post more details as they become available.

This is going to be fun,
Chris

No contract, no union, just work. 12 day weeks, with 2 days off. 8 of the 12 I am on call 24hr's.Useually home after about 12 to 15, but I have worked straight through 22 hr's once, and 18-20 happens every month or so. I am so frazzled...

Sounds like you need a good massage to calm those work-frazzled nerves Galen.
Sorry... can't reach that far. But hey, here's the deal; I'll spring for a foot reflexology session at SPLASH if your interested. I'm taking a course in June and will need guinea pigs to practice on.

Lo, I was looking at the calender and you are right the girls ride is sneaking up on us. I am just concerned about the vacation time I might not have to go. If I remember right I was going to take Fri off. I will have to check and see if my vacation time is up for that. Kim are you going to be able to get time off with the new job?

Went to therepy today and the movement is better but still have along way to go.

Anyone get out and do some riding these last few days? Lets hear some stories!

Loni

ADDITUDE, thanks and that sounds great! My attitude is slipping from not enough riding. Will be fabo to see you two at SPLASH this year. I'll take care of 'things' on this side of the boarder. Tea at 4 and all, eh what?
Loni, glad it's' getting better. Keep at it!

Bob. Only 323 posts? Seems more like 10,000!
Galen. I've heard of people putting up with abuses of the labor laws 'til they could find another job, then go back on the employer for proper payment of overtime wages. I have been in situations, however, where I've been working for "friends" that I didn't want to ruin relationships by doing that. Then, it's usually better just to bail.
And I've finished the brake job on the van (should've done it a little sooner and I wouldn't have had to replace the rotors) so now the bike repairs are on the top of the to-do list. Chatting with an X1 rider that pulled into a driveway half a block from home. Just bought it 3 months ago and will be at the Deeley's season opener. Don't know yet if I will.

Don't get discouraged Loni. Recovery does take awhile, but keep at it, you'll do fine. I hope you get the time off for our ride. Do you have saturday and sunday off? We'll be riding in your area I believe.
Kimberlie: I've posted some photos of your little racer! Come by http://bcrider.com/guestYSR.html for a look.
Oh... and hard copies will be sent by snail mail to you. (I always get duplicates)

Galen, we thank you

Ride on...

LO

Hey,...

Lyle just replaced the original Bridgestone BT 010's (190/50 x 17, 120/70 x17) that were stock on his bike at 8,800 miles. Pretty good mileage I think! He rides his bike pretty hard too. The tires were worn all the way to the edges, although much flatter in the center. He replaced them with a set of Avon AV 49/50 SP’s. I’ll let you know how they work out. 8,800 miles on a BT 010
I’ve got just over 10,000 miles on my bike, outfitted with Bridgestone BT 010’s and think I can get 12,000 miles without a problem. That’s not exactly true. The problem is that the tires suck. They’re OK on hot, dry pavement but they give me the cold shivers when the road is wet. The Dunlop 205’s that came stock on my Y2K M2 were just as bad. The M2 bike was transformed when I put a set of BT 010’s on it and I expect the new bike will benefit from sticker tires too.

Well Said!! FMJ!!!

You didn't mention the gore-Jus ride on sunday. Man do you have the roads in your back yard or what?

Thanks for the great Hospitality and make sure to thank Pam again for us. You guys are great!!

As for 010's, They suck! there sticky enough but not good for rain and they get a real flat profile in early tirehood. Just went and bought Deb a new set of Dunlop 208's for the Speed 3.

Looking for a new er used KLR 650 dual sport so keep your eyes peeled.

Wow, sounds like everyone has some good riding in good ol' CA. I hope you hoisted a few for us lo riders left holding the fort within the Wet Coast Rain Forest!
Hey, did I mention I'm going on the Rippin' up the Rockies BRAG ride with John? (Thanks to John for letting me tag along... and Don for staying home and playing Mr. Mom!) Hmm... to be a fly on the wall. Nah, I'd rather be ridin'!

From the Not That Anybody Really Cares Department:

In my above post, I said that I have BT 010 tires on my bike now. Wrong! I've got the harder compound 020's. I might put BT-010's on the bike next time or I might not. My previous experience with them was positive but there are lots of good tires to pick from these days. Cheng Shins maybe. Universal tread.

I'm anxious for Deb and Lyle to get a few miles on their new tires and give us a little feedback.

Lo- Those pictures are great, I have only been able to see him ride/race one time and I had little Cameron with me so I was not able to take many pictures. Yours turned out much better than mine did! I look forward to the snail mail.

Cameron has become quite the motorcyclist himself. Every chance he gets he puts his little fingers all over the dirt bikes and says HUG HUG! Mike has taken him on several side walk rides up and down our street now and he loves it!

Mike telling Cameron, "now this is the gas....."
gas

And they are off!
Cameron's first ride

I think we will also have Cam-Man Racing someday.

Unless of course, you're in Iraq. Then it's Saturday and it's the Sabbath, then you need a prayer rug. Whatever. God bless America. Please.
