I've had a lot of tire kickers and people unfamiliar with Buells checking out my M2. I need to sell it. Sad, it's been a great bike but I bought a xb12ss in the frenzy - something I didn't think I would do for a couple more years. Lots of low ballers out there - where is the best to list? thanks, cb |

Parts wh0re ... Cbig, Start by putting it up everywhere you can list it for free ... can't avoid the tire kickers or low ballers, I have 4 bikes up for sale right now on Craigslist and all but one person so far as lowballed me, and rudely I might add ... Just get it as much exposure as you can - more people see it, more chance to sell. |

don't know about CA but here in the midwest a realistic sales price would be between $2,500 and $3,500. The REAL value? priceless :-) |

is it possible for you to have both? the m2 could be used to keep the high miles off the xb,one for fun and the other just to go. it is not like the m2 is going to raise your living standard- like a nice Vincent would. |

I agree, keep them both. I see M2's here in Wisconsin fro sale and around $3000. With the amount of people chopping them and parting them out they can only go up in value. Not a ton, but for $2000 or $3000 grand now, you may be kicking yourself a few years down the road. |

"is it possible for you to have both? the m2 could be used to keep the high miles off the xb,one for fun and the other just to go. it is not like the m2 is going to raise your living standard- like a nice Vincent would." It would be nice but I've already got a Harley fxdx. Believe me - getting rid of the M2 is tough. I had one before I put 46k trouble free miles on and really like the easy servicability. Even more I like the lack of need for service when you handle the things that should be attended to. It's just that the M2 and xb12ss are so close in purpose. I didn't expect to be in the market for an xb12ss as soon as now. Honestly - I'm not sure they are worth 5k more than the M2 in performance. 5k buys a lot of goodies but I'm sure if I sold the xb12ss I'd take a real bath. |
