Anyone done the water pump yet? Mine has a small leak out the weep hole. I can't catch it wet, but it keeps leaving a stain down the side of the case. At first I thought it was a cold water leak now I'm not so sure. Anyhow can the pump be removed without removing the headers? What kind of a job can I expect? Still waiting on my SM to come in. |

I beleieve the exhaust, clutch cover, outer case cover has to come off .And make sure all the balancer marks are lined up before you install the cover.I also believe there is a small hole that you line up also before the cover goes on so your pump balancer lines up right.Buy a book they are really worth it.Mine was leaking for a while through the weep hole then it quit?? If its not flowing I would wait a little and see what happens. |

Thanks guys I had hoped that you could just take off the little cover and it would be an easy fix. Doesn't sound like it. No big deal as it's still under warranty, my dealer is a fair distance away and I just figured I'd do it myself if easy. I have the service manual coming it just hasn't got here yet |

Take it to your dealer you'll spend 40 $ in cover gaskets the for the seal kit I believe it around 15$ .Then you have to bleed the clutch cover .Big job for the average guy. |

Probably will, however the dealer would send me the parts N/C if I'd do the work. The biggest problem is the distance to the dealer is about 100mi, and the time of year.Cold here. The actual wrench turning is no problem. Just trying to decide if I want to take it on. |
