09 1125r, no problems at all so far. Only 700 miles though. Its my second Buell. My 05 XB9 has 24K and my only problem was a broken clutch cable. Both are amazing handling bikes that I find myself very comfortable on. |

This is a fan site, so it's unlikely anyone who's committed to the 1125 is going to admit to being unhappy with it, even if they've had probs. I cannot say that I've had NO problems with my 1125. I CAN say that I've made many 'corrections' to the bike to make it into what I needed it to be, given that I ride 16,000+ miles (not kilometres) a year. Read much? Like, read almost any other thread in the 1125 section. Lot of fans are obviously willing to discuss problems. It's a fair question: how many are problem free? It gives a perspective. Requires a bit of reading, though.} |

Just turned over 1300 miles in the last three weeks, I have seen 171mph on the indicator and in my mirrors I have seen many an IL4 that all said the same thing...your bike is too quiet when it goes by me. I need a pipe I guess. It has been really enjoyable with only one real problem, the lowers and the exhaust pipe haven't mixed too well, Fletcher's is working on a warranty deal, but in the mean time they wrapped my header pipe and that has stopped the heat warping and the small bit of melting that was going on. The bike itself is an excellent machine. I don't know what download I have or if the turn signals have white tape on them or not, but nothing has broken mechanically and it runs like a scalded dog...I think if I had not seen the deer coming out of the trees going up I275 to I75 last weekend I would've seen exactly how fast the bike will run...but I lost my desire when I saw the deer...so....there ya go. |

Funny thing was, a few months ago I was on my XB heading to my cousin's cabin, and he decided to meet me partway there on his 1125R without telling me. He saw me going by on the divided highway, and made a U-turn. In order to catch up to me, he nailed it, and when he blew by at about 140 I almost shat my pants. I was doing 50 in a 55, throttle lock on, leaned back and enjoying the scenery. I didn't even see him coming, and had no clue till he was about 5ft behind me, even though he was at WOT. |

Zero probs on my '09 R. I've had it for 3 weeks and 1,400 miles. The last ride I was on was 425 miles. There were 3 Buells, 2 Suzukis, 1 Ducati, 1 Honda, & 1 Yamaha...The Honda (CBR600RR) broke down. |

09 25R - about a month and 900 mi. No problems. did have an odd fog inside IC, but just once and not since (with several days riding in rain). Rode with a buell group Sat and nobody had issues (lots of XB's, a Uly, plus 3 R's, and two CR's) |

I managed 684 miles without a problem. Now I've got a P0503 code and no speed sensor related functions are working (speedo/odo/gear position indicator/fuel mileage). I'll be hauling it to the dealer this week |

3000 miles on a June 08 1125R and only two things to mention. 1. Tail light went out. 10 second fix. 2. Occasional loss of steering. I like a little fuel smell in the garage. |

'09 1125R Picked it up new with 30 miles on it. Trucked it to my shop because of the weather. First nice day got to 42 miles and the shifter started acting funny and the shifter arm wasn't returning to a neutral position for the next shift. Hauled back to the dealer. Diagnosed as missing some kind of washer/shim for the detent spring on the shifter arm inside the engine. Problem fixed. Tech was riding it making sure all was right and noticed it wasn't running right. They now have a test cable ordered to diagnose whether the crank trigger is bad or the ECM. It's been at the dealer since Oct 31.... |
