i didn't want to think it would happen, but it has. went to dealership to get the 25th anniversary sticker re-done as it was peeling off, not knowing that it was a sign of some bad news as they told me that they discontinued selling at their dealership a week before harley dropped them. check this out if you already haven't done so. lets hope something happens to put buell back on the road. http://www.buell.com/en_us/company/ | ||

dude, i wasn't breaking the news,, some people have to work for a living and can't spend too much time on the net. if it wasn't for my dealership telling me, i still wouldn't know. i have not been on this site since september. and have not been to the dealer in a while. how is that embarrassing? | ||

Jleblanc, if you wander back through threads to October 15th, you'll see a bunch of wailing, some whining, lots of anger, and a whole bunch of stunned people. We've been living with it for a couple weeks... we're kind of used to it. But I remember what it felt like the first day. So I'm sorry for ya, feeling the shock of it. There's some good things, too, though -- there's at least 250 new 1125 owners on here who decided it was now or never. And there's a lot of positive feeling for the Buell employees. And there'll be "official" parts and service for a long while yet, and aftermarket too. Raise a drink tonight to the folks who worked in East Troy, and go ride your bike tomorrow. That's my Rx. | ||

Marinus has it right. You know there is a real big world out there and most folks are not as passionate about Buell as we are. In fact the majority of the populace has no clue what Buell is about. Thats too bad.....what if Buell had even half of Harley Davidson's brand recognition? Taking on the world starting with last winter's maiden Daytona AMA showing and going on to win the whole season says to the world "Bring it on", The competition even cried "foul" not because they were beat fair & square, but because we had momentum & looked forward to proving it again in the Superbike class. The established Big Japanese four and other un-named Europeans were not used to a small but passionate underdog US company ever coming close to being a threat . I have no problem with bringing a fellow Bueller up to speed. Just wish there was more of us. | ||

Yeah Buell definitely lacked the advertising.. When I tell people I just joined the Buell world.. about 90% of people are like "What the heck is that?" Even me when I was on my jap bike.. I never new any details about Buell other than they sounded way cooler than my ricer. | ||
