Iam looking at putting the suspension from an scg or an sl on my ss. I know what all needs to be changed but my question is will it work or will I need to do something to get the belt to work? |

The rear shock isn't going to work. |

The swingarms are different, there is a longer distance eye to eye than the standard lightning. |

I am looking to lower the bike some, so will switching the shock effect the belt or not work period. I also plan on switching the forks. What will I need to do to get it to work? |

to second Froggy it wont mount up. the forks will work but you would need a custom rear shock Based off of the stock one. The main difference between the Stock S shock and and Scg/SL was the spring height / Spring rate. The Scg came with a shorter Spring but with Similar Spring rate to the Stock S height. Both of these Springs are WAY shorter the then the SS spring. The SS is longer and is also at a different angle, this effects the efficiency of the shock, also requiring changes to the spring rate. that's the long answer Short one -Wont work, If you do get it to bolt together, the geometry is going to be whacked and it will most likely resemble a dog dragging his butt in the carpet. |
