Amazon sells through Small Parts, Inc. silicon O-ring #141. 25 for $8.14 plus shipping & 100 for $32 free shipping.

It would probably be easier to order through Amazon, but I got 100 from www.marcorubber.com for $16.89. That included shipping.

Don't men to sound stupid, but with the dimensions posted, look in your yellow pages and find a local o-ring supplier. You can buy 1 or 1000. Take the old one in and they will match the size and durometer, select best material. No shipping, but local tax.

How would I find out the specs for the rings in the caliper rebuild kit? I'm thinking I'd like to know that, since I rebuild my calipers about every 2-3 pad changes to keep the performance fresh.

I'm not sure if they are Buna O rings then there is a special tool to get inside I.D. to a tee. It looks cone shaped. Then for an accurate reading on the width I would use a digital Caliper.

The caliper rings are also a square "C"-channel shape. I'd never seen those before.

I would suggest to take the sample to somewhere that sells O rings. Most places should have that tool I'm talking about. Once you find out McMaster Carr seems to be the best source for O-Rings.

I am asking my contact what that tool is called. (Description name) then you can Google it and see if the tool is avail. somewhere. To mic it is the easy part. This tool helps to distinguish between metric and Domestic.

Yea, next caliper rebuild I do (due on the track bike after this set of pads) I'll retain the old rings and take them into a local place to find suitable replacements.

Having an option beyond the HD shop long term appears to be a necessity -- looks like HD is going to put all of our parts on a 7-year "backorder"

Okay there is no real name for the tool. He did say it is for identifying domestic O rings and not the metric. Metric takes some form of tape to get the specs. Best bet is just what you said.
