I installed the baffle today, but it was raining so I didn't have a chance to test the hwy drone reduction. But, I can say that there is a huge difference in the stand & rev volume. I think all the original Drummer-tones are there, but it sounds like someone put a pillow over them. I would now like to test this system side-by-side with a stocker. Hopefully it strikes a good balance. Hwy drone report soon to follow. |

I will be following this with interest. I have a Econo Drummer (remember those) on the shelf. It sounded to HD straight pipe, got old really fast. If you can do it, a sound clip would be cool! |

Super - I think mine's an 'econo' too...got it off ebay, it's all steel (no billet endcap) with a rolled chrome tip and the Drummer logo on a plate, riveted to the side. Sound like yours? I'd take a pic, but it's so covered in mud (as it should be, LOL) it wouldn't help one bit... I'm also anxious to hear (no pun) about the results. |

I had heard a rumor that a certain dealer's speedshop was considering modifying mufflers so they would have a bit more "presence", still maintain the muffler valve and maybe give a little bump in performance. Probably no future in that any longer.... |

Yah...I need to check in on that considering I...uh...know the guy whose muffler is sliced open at the moment. |

Ratbuell- I think that's just an early Drummer you have. IIRC the econo-Drummer had no chrome. |

Rat, if I recall right you have the original original drummer. The econodrummer has a dual outlet setup. |

Ah, gotcha. Thanks guys...pathetic, I have a muffler and don't even know what it's called. Does that make me a fag? |

Yup, the econo has two tips.... I guess that means I would need two baffles, right? It's real purdy, no rust, dings or nufing. Love to put it back on, just got to quiet it down a bit. |

I will have a youtube video posted by this evening. It's going to be a cell phone recording so I'll add some description to make up for the quality. Stay tuned Drone-Warriors... |

Enjoy Note: Use headphones for better audio, but still distorts at high rpm. Also if anyone knows how to add that weathered, rusty muffler look please let me know. It's way to clean down there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avlH-6iVSWg (Message edited by okc99 on November 14, 2009) |

Frankly, David, I'm just glad you're still with Buell. It still sounds nasty. Yeah, it definitely doesn't sound like stock. Did you ever figure out your earplug dilemma? I think I'm going to ride with the DC-based Buellers tomorrow... |

Sounds good on the video, but hard to compare to the "before" sound...what's your take on it comparison-wise? Any performance difference that you notice? |
