vacuum assisted hydraulic slipper clutch:

do you get vacuum assist to make the clutch easier to pull? i ask because i don't feel much difference in the pull of the lever at idle compared to the engine off.

No, The slipper clutch is vacuum operated when you down shift at a high rpm to allow the slipper clutch to "SLIP" until the engine RPM's match the wheel speed so you dont have an accidental Back in, or slide the rear wheel on when you dont expect it.

I'm glad it's there ... It sounded like marketing-driven technical dribble to me, until I actually engaged mine in a high RPM shift back to 2nd. It works!!

Go to an area where there's a long uphill followed by a long down hill.

Ride up the hill under good power and notice the effort at the clutch lever.

Now, with the bike in gear go down the hill and under engine braking pull the clutch lever in.

Feel the difference?

6-SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH HVA: This 6-speed, close ratio transmission features smooth and precise action. The Hydraulic Vacuum Assist (HVA) Slipper-Action clutch eases clutch pull and limits back-torque during hard downshifts.

this why i ask

Higher RPM will make it more noticible.
Heck, just run it up high, close the throttle, you wont even need to use the clutch lever.
