Does anybody make a screen for the r oil cooler?? Just wondering, would hate to catch a rock.

That's the first thing I did to mine.I used a piece of black screen leftover from a Cox Radiator screen,cut it to fit inside the mounting brackets.

Here's mine. It's fashioned from the grid used at the bottom of a paint pan, which has the right angle already.

redz oil cooler guard

When I took a rock in the shoulder a few weeks ago, I was glad that I always wear leathers on the freeway. It also reminded me why I made and installed the oil cooler guard in the first place, because a customer had once told me of taking a rock in his radiator (not a Buell) and losing his coolant while far from home.

To that end, I also increased the size of the front fender / mudguard by fashioning an extender from another 1125 guard:

It adds a LOT of coverage over the stocker.
