Has anyone heard of it being done? I love the knee dragging lean angles of clip-ons but the fork doesn't seem long enough that if I did have clips ons they would hit the fuel frame when turning. Any suggestions? Please no sponsor/non-sponsor BS like the hawk exhaust thread. I feel bad for the dude who started it since all he was asking was for peoples opinions, and look what happened. Thanks. |

Clip-ons can be done but if your after more lean angle this is a great option. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9074.html |

Trojan Horse makes a kit for running clip-on on a XB_S. Kinda pricey but REALLY cool http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/241.html |

Using the search function, I came up with these threads. Some good info here, you can learn a lot from them I would think: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/344047.html http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/344047.html http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/220495.html http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/157064.html?1130866961 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/306054.html |

American Sport Bike sells some bars that are similar to clip ons, cross roads or something like that? I went with the CR's clubman bars, look great, feel great, more leverage then regular clip ons but still nice and tucked in. Great for street and track. |

These also http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/361089.html http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/434100.html?1236206310 I tried the Woodcraft clipons for a few days, but too low for me. If you are interested, I have the clipons, one bar drilled for bar end mirror and XB12S clutch cable, throttle cables, and brake line to sell. (Message edited by ducbsa on November 12, 2009) |

I had crossroads on my old XB9S that I later trader in for a 12R. I loved the crossroads though. They move the handlebar position lower and more forward. The handling was great and the look was awesome, IMO. |

Thats sort of how I want them to look, but lower and a little farther out, more of a cafe racing look. Something that will help the wind go up and over, instead of catching on my torso which to me, coming from a Triumph Speed Triple, acts like a sail which in turn makes my back go ARGH! Not sure if anyone else has rode a Triumph but you damn near literally lay on the tank. (Message edited by theironmaiden22 on November 12, 2009) |

Delta, I want it to look like the first pic with the chrome bars, but more compact? I mean not so flat, more triangle-ish. Something like Steve Mackays computer generated image of clip-ons, ones that can mount under the triple tree. Apparently Woodcraft says their 54mm clipons require no cable adjustments only cable re-routing, plus with theirs the bars come out of the clips incase of a crash. |
